Skip Bayless says the happiest man in that arena last night was Lebron James, because the foul was not called and he didn't have to shoot two free throws.

There is no troll that compares to Skip. NONE. His hatred of Lebron is now legendary.

 

Skip also predicted Brandon Weeden would be a perennial Pro Bowler, and also said in 02 that the Canes would beat the Buckeyes by 3 TDs.

Gotta admit, I'm a bit nervous about rd 1. The regular season is the regular season. I love the heart bk has shown this year vs last but if you don't do it in the playoffs it means nothing. I'm confident but nervous if that makes any sense lol

I have only lost 1 bet while betting AGAINST the Heat the last 4 years (last year's Denver "lock"). This game tonight screams Memphis LOCK as well...and I am tempted to SEND IT IN.

But I am gunshy with this Heat team. They are capable of winning this damn near impossible spot because they are so unpredictable with all the lineup changes. Wade also made the trip, so I have no idea if he is playing.

I guess the "smart" money is to just lay the money with the Grizz moneyline. (they are a decent favorite)

 

You forgot...that DB was swinging a pick axe and brandished a foreign object, then stabbed the WR in the heart. He then proceeded to eat the heart right there in the endzone.

I was watching at my buddy's house and kind of jumped when I saw the jersey, he saw my reaction and asked me what happened, I told him that I read the back of his jersey in Russian, but it was literally impossible for it to be in Russian...then he rewinded and I got a good laugh out of it.

 

BTW...Spo's rest regiment has blown up in his face.

Everytime he rests people..other people get hurt and he then has a disaster on his hands with his lineups.

Another development this year....Norris Cole is terrible, Rashard Lewis is good, and Battier is already retired. UD and Wade cannot come back soon enough.

 

Do you think they bring UD back next year? Also, Rio?

 

UD yes...he has an option. Rio will come cheap with his injuries this year. I think Cole gets traded unless he turns this around. He had a nice game last night..but he is now on a 2 nice games...4 disaster games trend. That is not good enough.

 

Why we trotted Battier out there instead of Beasley is beyond me.

I like Bats. He still tries to do the little things, but his shot is gone and not coming back.

Bosh has been terrible too the last few games. Need more than 12 points from him when Wade is out.

 

Pretty sure HEAT won their last game against the Cs in the 2010-2011 in regular season. Bulls swept Miami, won game 1 by 20 and...went on to lose 4 straight.

The Pacers without their 5 starters are NO BETTER than the Bucks. They are playing with fire tonight, but doesn't matter, heat is likely to lose tonight.

And I'm not ready to completely give up on this game. If you listen to Skolnick, LeBatard, etc., we shouldn't have even bothered getting on the plane. Memphis is good but can't score. If Wade plays and/or we get anything out of Bosh, I think we can win

We are 1 game up in loss column. they lose...we win..we go right back up to 2 games up...and have a stranglehold again.

If they win...then friday is for the #1 seed regardless.

What are your thoughts on Hamilton? I know he spent some time in Croatia after we acquired his rights.

 

He has looked good in limited action.

He MURDERED the D-League to the tune of 19 ppg and 9 rebs.

The one thing I DON'T like....he was AWFUL in Summer League and had a rough training camp. Both are BAD signs for an aspiring NBA player.

as for tonight..he can give us some fouls..and he can shoot the three. So he will serve a purpose.

 

Cole was absolutely brutal again last night. I wanted to reach through the tv and strangle him after he carelessly threw the ball away on multiple ocassions.

Turnovers down the stretch infected everybody and doomed the team.

Oh well, let's see what happens Friday. The #2 seed might actually be the easier path anyway. We could end up with homecourt in the eCF against Brooklyn/Chicago as either of those teams has a chance against Indy

 

Cole has literally had ONE good game in the last 3 weeks. the Nets game. Something happened to him. Not a skill thing either. More of a "brain" thing.

IMO..Douglas is the perfect replacement and now you know why they traded Joel Anthony for a defensive specialist PG.

The continued use of the Cole/Chalmers backcourt is mystifying.

I agree that in Wade's absence you're much better off with the Rio/Douglas back court.

At the end of the day, the Heat made an organizational decision that Wade's health was more important that regular season wins or seeding. I agreed with this decision, thought it doesn't seem to have matetred much as Wade has once again been injured at a horrible time. I'm anticipating he'll play Friday, but who knows.

LBJ was just ticked last night. He was lucky he didn't get T'd up for chucking the ball down the court. He's getting worn down. Even if we win on Friday, I'd seriously consider sitting him the rest of the way and hope your B team can beat Atlanta, philly and whatever other crappy team we play

Maybe I'll get you a credential so you can see Wade workout in the shootaround before all these games. He's fine. This is about not having any possibility of a setback. Hamstrings are tricky.

 

I'll elaborate...

Wade always finishes his workouts with 5 dunks left handed off his left foot..then 5 dunks right handed off his right foot.

When he is not feeling right, he doesn't do that.

He did that before the Grizz game..and he did it today.

 

I'm guessing he will ride the pine until the playoffs start.
