Glad we finally started to play D this season. Was worried it was an illusion the last couple of games but it's legit tonight against the Raptors.

 

After loss in Indy, I accepted the fact that HEAT won't get the #1 seed. Clearly, I underestimate the Pacers desire to give it away. Bravo, Pacers, Bravo.

 

Well...that pacer crap was fun.

All your #1 seed belong to us.

 

The NBA is rigged. It just doesn't make sense that the most talented and well coached teams keep winning.

My hope is that the young legs in OKC take out the Spurs in 7 and Miami out savvy's them in 5.

I would MUCH rather face OKC in the finals than the Spurs. Fortunately OKC seems to give San Antonio problems so that may happen.

Nets look really good. I love the way they are playing. I think they need Home Court to advance though. They are a vastly different team on the road.

They have a strange makeup:

Mid pack in Defense, Offense, Turnovers, Assist%, Pace.

Terrible in Rebounding.

But they win somehow? It's because like I said, the NBA is about scoring in the last 5 minutes of close games, and the Nets have options. I also think their defense is underrated.

Impressed by the Nets.

 

While I really like the Heat's chances against every team other than the Spurs (that one seems more like a toss up), the Nets are the team I least want to face in the playoffs.

 

3 of our starters are out. congrats on beating James Harden and our bench. it took that to end your 13 losses in a row to the rockets.

 

There is no need to fear them. They are a terrible Rebounding team, while being half as efficient as the Heat on Offense. Both are terrible signs for a 7 gm series. This is why Regular Season meetings are worthless indicators.

 

Chris Broussard said today he feels like a big part of Lebron WANTS to go back to Cleveland. And staying in Miami an extra year will give Cleveland time to fix some issues.

I truely believe he ends up there at some point.

LeBron goes back to Cleveland a few times a season to play basketball, yes.

 

He's opting out. Wherever he is next season will be on a 5 year deal.

That was his point, said Lebron should play it out and see how serious Cleveland is about winning. Also has heard Bosh to Dallas is real, stating that Bosh has sacrificed more than anyone for the "Big Three".

Don't shoot the messenger, if it was Skip Bayless I wouldn't even acknowledge it...but Chris has been in the know quite often.

 

No, Dwyane has sacrificed the most. Money wise and role wise compared to what he was used to. Bosh also gets paid the most out of the 3 and he has been the most vocal on subject of staying in Miami out of 3 of them. So one could argue is that he is least likely to leave. Again, this is speculation, and will be for next 3 months, bu I don't think they are going anywhwre. I do believe that they are opting out, and resigning.

Chris Broussard is native to Cleveland and a huge Cavs homer. He is delusional if he thinks that Lebron James..AFTER PLAYING IN BASKETBALL PARADISE wants to "wait" till that dumpster fire becomes a mere minor disaster.

I am telling you there is virtually no chance whatsoever he plays anywhere else other than Miami for the next 5 years. It's a lock.

I doubt he ever goes back. He hates Dan Gilbert and the hate is personal.

The Last thing Chris Bosh wants to do is play back in his hometown. He has made it known to many as well. There are ISSUES there he wants NO part of..namely Baby Momma drama, and many relatives that he is nowhere near close to anymore.

Also..never mind him saying he wants to Retire here in Miami.

Either way I don't think anyone can estimate Lebrons desire to win a title in Cleveland. Now as far as ANYWHERE else? Don't see that happening at all.

 

I still believe all this, but they won't go past round 1 without Home Court. They are a GOOD team at home....a Terrible team on the road.

Let me say that I take FULL CREDIT for WINNING one of the longest Internet message board feuds of all-time.

For two years...Me and NYJUNC on Finheaven, argued as to whether Alonzo Mourning was a Hall of Famer. At one time he told me I was the most hopeless homer on earth when I said he had "an outside chance" at being a FIRST BALLOT Hall of FAMER.

I merely pointed out that his numbers and accomplishments indexed against all other Hall of Famers made him ONE.

WELL.....

Alonzo Mourning has been NAMED a Hall of Famer. and on the FIRST BALLOT as well.

SO where is my trophy? I also once asked him if he wanted to bet 10k on it and...he declined. SO in a way..I feel as if I lost 10k today.

 

BTW...Heat vs. Knicks...1st round...again? excited? terrified? indifferent?
