While it is a very questionable move, my run game will be unstoppable with MJD and Rice in the backfield and the O-line I made blocking for them. Rice did have a down year, but that is because his blockers were awful. Sure 7M for MJD to be the second HB is expensive, but I had money to spend and not many spots I could spend it on.

The line was awful but PFF doesn't grade based on that..Ray was awful on his own merit as well.

He has a history of success though and I'm sure he will bounce back.

I'm quoting PFF deal with it

By all objective stats Rice was worse than Miller with equal lines. The difference being that Rice has shown in the past he can get it done.

    Question.

Are we not counting the space for our draft picks right now towards our cap like last year?

When I calculate my roster I include min bid as holds for empty roster spots....is everyone else doing the same?

Ok. To a more specific point. Is the Bills team page up to date? If so....just kinda curious how the Commish can be bidding $6.5 million on a player when that puts him $1.3 million and change over (that is...if his page is up to date).

I dont. I can tell you one team who is going to have about 30 players at this rate. Not mine but someone else.

The only way it makes sense not to include them if if you plan on fielding a roster with less then 53 players....you shouldn't be able to say well i have 45 players with a 130mil cap and ill worry about cutting players later to sign out the fill out the my roster.

    Actually it does.

    Q. What is the final roster size? Can we have a practice squad on our team?

A: 53 men on a squad. There is no practice squad.

No I wont. All my bids take into account being able to fill my roster and include draft pick salaries.

Including picks and minimum bids to at least get to 47 players youd be over right now. You bid big on Raji and Jones and Moreno. In addition to having to fill out your roster and use the allotted picks you have acquired

I have 20 million in cap space [including my draft picks], and that's including Jones already being signed. Not even close to being over.

I know, Im just saying, teams dont have 43 man rosters in real life and youre running out of space. Granted it's a talented roster but definitely no depth

my page isn't up to date. I am tracking my salary in a spreadsheet. I was planning to go thru and look at all rosters this weekend when I have time... with all the FA additions etc etc.. it's damn impossible to keep up in real time. If I find that someone is over the cap, there will be SEVERE ramifications.

After my bids and with draft picks I will be 300k under the cap without any cuts. I'm so on point with my team page updates its scary.

Todd you asked me about this the other day... the minimum roster requirement is 46 players.. .that's how many have to dress for an NFL game. max roster is 53. If someone out there doesn't like that then it's too bad... na na nana na...

So you can essentially get an extra 3mil on cap space by not carrying the last 7 guys

one way to look at it. Of course, you're judged (voted on) by the players you put out there on your roster... not the ones that aren't there :shifty:
