I know I'm going to piss someone off with this snipe.... I free up a bid within 10 mins of someone getting that player.
Oh why oh why did I look. Pissed off? You really really don't have a clue do you. I just threw you a bid based on your post in the trade thread to gauge just what 'special' you were running this time. When you came back with it, I was done. No harm, no foul. And yes it would have been fun to jump back into the Worilds bidding and BK BK ( Nothing new there going back to last year ;p Hell he might be regretting the bid and want out anyways) but I never took the original offer as serious cause were rarely in the same ballpark. You were the one who was all confused as to what I was doing and PM'ed me a second time (remember I was already done with this conversation the moment I wasn't interested in the price) inquiring about my strategy. So I did what I usually do....I feed you some bull (Guess what......*who reference*...The Doctor lies. *shock**gasp*) which of course set you off. No surprise there. I mean seriously. Look at my bids. Does it look like I'm raising guys for the sake of it? Use your head.
Butler had until 11:44 unless I'm mistaken. Do you need me to teach you the ways of the snipe? I'll put in a call to Schisno.
No, I had one end at 1134, but I decided to go the route of not pissing anyone off, so I rescinded a bid.
Its going to be hard not to step on anyone's toes in this FA with so few bids and only 24 hours. Its the nature of the beast.
Why do the Dolphins want D'Qwell with Ellerbe, Jackson, Jenkings, Misi, Wheeler, Jordan? Never have too many quality LB'ers.
Thought you were gonna steal Riley last night for 2.5mil. I didn't have an open bid he was my next offer.
Most of those LB's play different positions. Riley and Butler both play the same spot. Maybe you need two MLB for a 3-4
then don't go bragging to the league or to the GM you just bid up that you're bumping players to push up prices. Use your head man.
It's obviously within his right to bump prices... but you don't need to go bragging about it to the GM whose player you just bumped. There's a thing called tact. Again, the emphasis is on the bragging part, not the bumping. Me commenting about what someone else is doing is part of the game. Get over it. If you've got a problem with any of this, then tell Van not to bring PM-related stuff into the main forum where it can lead to a spectacle. Common sense man.
Todd I can guarantee you Van was just screwing with you about that. I've talked to him a lot through this process and going after McDaniel and a couple HBs was sonething he's been interested in. He really did/does want them.
I don't have a problem with any of this. I have seen a lot worse than this and I bet it doesn't get much better.
That may very well be the case but that's not how he made it seem. So let's just agree to drop it okay.
LIke I said, I don't have a problem with it either, and I think there are a few times where bidding up needs to be done for the sake of the player's and league's integrity; however, I don't like when a GM waves it in my face in a PM after he's done it to me. Is that understandable, or am I being melodramatic for finding it annoying?
I can def understand that. That part of it is troubling. Good news is you guys should be leading for Feud of the Year!
Anyone with an expensive LB who needs cap space and a replacement LB in the process? Ditto for a G, RT, RB, and CB.
Yeah I really wanted him but couldn't afford to go above the minimum at the time. Once he outbid me I was done. Really nice low-price signing Baltimore.
For the Pacific and Central timezone people, why don't you guys/gal go into settings and change your timezone to Eastern for the next few days so there's no need to do any math?
Bears are very excited to at Clint McDonald for only 1 million. He joins the Bryant brothers, peppers, Ansah, and freeney to make a formidable front line
D'Qwell? Daniel Thomas? Brandon Harris? PM me I really like D'Qwell and gave up a good pick for him so it would need to be a very even deal for him.
The Browns are excited to welcome Cam Thomas to the team for the low price of $500k. Cam will get a chance to start at NT for us.
You are correct You are correct too. However I would say that based on my interaction with Van I would say he doesnt bid up players for the sake of doing so. He is not like some other people we know. Youre being a bit melodramatic
Damn, now I remember who I wanted to bid on. I forgot. Nice cheap pickup. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in Miami this year. I believe someone wrote about it and his agent even mentioned it in a tweet. The agent, David canter, noted the irony because he is also the agent of soliai. Soliai has already sold, or is selling his home. Maybe mr. Canter knows something. Big kid might be nice after our dine coach gets a hold of him.
I got called the new schisno. It's part of the game. I don't do anything out of spite but my strategy includes holding on to 1 bid at all times, and yes, bidding late into the bid timeframe. It's strategic and part of a #s game. You can't handle the heat...
Not me chief, I had nothing to do with it. i was just answering questions. But i didnt forget about you jumping on Stevie Brown. Punk.
