An upside down frisbee and a red solo cup hold the same amount of water.

Sold my "old" house today, :woot:

So now my debts are cut essentially in half. Although, to be fair, they were only roughly doubled for the 2 weeks that I actually had two mortgages.

I saw my ex wife get hit by a snowplow one day.

It was also the first time I had ever driven a snowplow.

But a frisbee is still the preferred way to separate out the seeds in your Colombian gold. (post from 1978)

So I'm watching Men at Work on TBS and they just said s--t without beeping it out.

TBS is allowed to do that now?

So? So are a lot of channels that don't allow cursing. TBS plays movies all the time and bleeps out cursing. It was surprising to me.

I was under the assumption you meant they like weren't allowed by the FCC or something.

I think it depends on when the show plays and the show itself.

Yeah, I didn't word it correctly. I was referring to never hearing a curse on a TBS show ever.

How can high school reunions be made interesting? What do you say to people you haven't seen in 20 years besides work and family?

I've never had any interest in going to my reunion. My 10 year anniversary is coming up this year and I have no desire at all to go. I got along with everyone in high school, and sure there are some people I've lost touch with that I'd like to see again, but still.

Maybe I'd feel differently if Facebook wasn't around but I already know what most people are doing these days.

I'm 27. One of my best friends who I also graduated with will be 29 soon. I was one of the babies of my grade as most people were born in '85 and I was born late summer '86.

I should have been class of 2005 instead of 2004. I always wonder how different my life would be if only for that seemingly minor difference.

    I ****ing hate the offseason.

We need a viable Spring league. If the NFL wasn't so monolithic (and cheap) we'd have a development league to tide us over.

i once got arrested for resisting arrest while being arrested for resisting arrest.

    Cop: "you're under arrest"
    me: "for what?"
    cop: "resisting arrest"
me: "but you haven't even tried to arrest me yet"
    cop: "stop resisting"

Hang in, Joe. She will need to lean on you, so be strong for her.

Also be aware of the emotional toll this kind of thing takes on you. Avail yourself of friends you can talk to; more importantly, friends who let you talk. And don't hesitate even for a second before availing yourself of counseling or other professional help. You have family here, too.

I hope the indications of the cancer spreading are false, and that it can be treated and your mom can make a full recovery.
