I think this is a perfect storm of a game. You got a big, physical, attacking D with big press corners and great safeties that kill you over the first 5-10 yards of the field going against an offense that basically revolves around the quick pass game. It's right in Seattle's wheelhouse.
So Pete Carroll famous for the choke sign at Pete Stoyanovich when Marino did the fake spike game and him winning national championships at USC with some controversy is in a position to win a Superbowl. Fu** me
Yeah it's a totally different squad without Von Miller & Dumervil... plus Derek Wolfe, Rahim Moore, Quinton Carter are on IR.
This is why I'm so unsure of Wilson btw. His team is up by 29 and I can only remember one or two throws he has made.
....and when Wilson's team isn't doing this, he carries them on his back in full fashion and takes care of business when it needs taking care of. Most 4th QTR comebacks the past 2 years in the league. You act like he doesn't have the same amount of TDs through his first 2 years that Manning had [52]... except Wilson did it in 300 less pass attempts. How 'bout that throw to Lockett BTW?.... and the TD to Kearse doesn't happen if the pass isn't on the money out in front of him.
Right, but I can't help thinking how much better they could be with another QB. Not to say Wilson is bad or something.
How do you punctuate the most prolific offensive season in the history of the NFL? By getting damn near shut out in the Super Bowl apparently.
I would. If he plans to play next season you only risk injury by keeping him out there against this team at his age. The game is 100% over and I'm pretty sure even Denver knows it.
While Seattle is busy killing Denver, saying "I dont know about Wilson b/c of the team he has around him" would be no different than saying "I don't know about Peyton Manning b/c he's unable to carry his entire team against this *** kicking". A great QB shouldn't get penalized just b/c he has a strong team around him, and if we wanna be honest here, Wilson posted a 100+ QBR, 26 TDs, and 4 fourth quarter comebacks w/o Harvin, w/o Sidney Rice, and with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL [ranked 26th per PFF if I recall correctly].,
I'm not penalizing him for having a strong team. I'm saying I don't know if he Is the type of player who can carry his team in the passing gsme because he's never been asked to.
