That's the ironic part, if the Dolphins would've snuck in the playoffs and were playing at Denver this week....Broncos fans would be saying "we are going to steamroll the Dolphins". And guys like my lil buddy Tip would be waiving an Aqua and orange towel screaming we have a chance.

I would slow down on the comparison here, Denver aren't back to back defending champs comping off 3 straight Superbowls. Dolphins aren't as bad the Knicks, just as incompetent though.

To be fair - I do see the point you're trying to make and I genuinely feel for you because you essentially root for the same team in Football and Basketball.

 

The Pacers aren't the defending champs, infact they didn't exactly "steamroll" NY last season.

Chris Bosh SHOULD be 1st Team ALL-NBA this year..and get votes for DPOY. His work on Joe Johnson vs. the Mighty Nets was nothing less than noteworthy..that game might have been the catalyst to getting him his recognition.

He is an Elite Defender...he has become what I wanted him to become..a decent version of Kevin Garnett.

 

have to agree with you here, though i wish i wouldnt. bosh has been outstanding the times i've caught the heat. from my limited perspective, i think he's having his best year as a heat

 

He definitely is. He has confidence in himself that he hasn't shown in past seasons. Offensively he is pickibg spots to "get his" so to speak, and defensively he has grown leapd and bounds.

Our record will probably end up worse than last year because of that improbable win streak, but this is undoubtedly the best Heat team I've ever watched.

Hey Section. Have you heard anythinh about Oden from your sources or is it still just "He's prgressing, he will play when he is ready"

There is still a lot of seasobn left, but you would think he would need at least a month of playing of he's expected to cobtribute positively in the playoffs.

 

He is currently practicing. The Media see him right after the "closed door" time of practice is over...leaving the gym with a heavy lather.

This tells me he is ready..and they are just saving him when needed.

I say, monitor Birdman's minutes...if they continue to escalate, Oden could play sooner rather than later.

As you can see in my profile - I am 22, so you "dumped" the "perennial playoff team for a non playoff team" sometime before the 90s. Let's say for argument's sake you were a Knicks fan since '80.
They both went to the playoffs 5-6 times in the 80s. Knicks got out the first round two more times than the Nets did. Big Whoop, they lost in next round. Wanna move it back 5 years? Nets were coming of an ABA title of Dr J lighting **** up. Knicks were good too but their title came early in the decade. So your claim of dumping a good team for a bad team is full of ****.

Now in the 90s, yeah Knicks were good and Nets were garbage, but you claim to be a Nets fan during that time already.

So Frontrunner you may not be (hey, I was wrong ) But your claim of swapping good team for a bad is is blatantly false. Nevermind that you swapped teams, you won't catch me doing that but hey to each their own.

I get that, but the fact is the Heat have to be very judicious next year around the Big 3. That may not warrant paying Rio $5million per, when you have Cole still on a rookie contract who has proved he can be a starter and a backup like Douglas making essentially the minimum.
