This is exactly why I've stayed out of this thread. These patriot trolls came on here with the thinly veiled disguise of "wanting an intelligent football thread" all while praising Brady and Belichick to no end and refusing to acknowledge any faults in their game. They don't want to have a back and forth. They only want us to admit defeat, saying we have no chance because of who Brady and Belichick used to be. Anytime a poster presents facts, they downplay it saying "well Brady and Belichick are first ballot HOFers so there's no way they can lose to you." Yes we know who your Patriots used to be. Believe me we all know Brady and his capabilities. But the facts are this run you've had is nearing its end. You are beatable, and to come here and scoff at us Dolphins fans for even thinking we have a shot at winning shows how Patriot fans feel they are entitled to winning, and why you are perceived that way around the league. Yes you guys are having a very good year despite injuries and age. But the dolphins do have a real chance this Sunday. Don't get up in arms when you come in here wanting a discussion and other posters present facts and opinions on why they feel the dolphins will win the game. End Rant.

 

Again this is a game where the match-ups favour us - especially our pass rush vs their o-line. As well, I still think there's something wrong with Brady's throwing hand.

If we can contain their power run game, this is a game we can win. Without Gronk, their receivers vs our DBs should favour us. Like I said, our pass rush should get to Brady. We just need to stop the run to avoid the threat of play-action.

Offensively, we just can't turn the ball over. Must win the turnover battle. Hopefully a big play or two to Wallace. But what ultimately kills us vs the Pats are mistakes and missed opportunities. Must score in the red zone, must win the turnover battle and cannot miss field goals.

Not calling this one because without Gronk I just see a much closer game.

The Dolphins are 13th in Pass Defense while the Patriots are 16th
The Dolphins are 23rd in Run Defense while the Patriots are 31st
The Dolphins are 9th in Scoring Defense the Patriots are 10th
The Dolphins lead the league with 48 sacks the Patriots are 12th with 36

You are as big a homer as I've seen and an arrogant one at that. Your team is having a good year but if you cant see that this team is not as good as last years or recent teams then you are in denial. They deserve credit for winning many close games but if you think that's going to continue you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. There are 3 games left in the regular season lets see how things play out.

You come on here disrespecting a team that you clearly don't have much knowledge of as well as disrespecting and taunting their fans. You think because your team has dominated a certain team in the past that it's just going to continue no matter how good each team is right now. The Dolphins are not the same team as they were last season and neither are the Patriots. The Dolphins and Patriots played a close game earlier in the year up in Foxboro, To think that the Patriots are just going to come in and do something that they haven't done all year is just wishful thinking.

My advice to you is enjoy your teams success while it lasts. No need to go around being an arrogant fool because before you know it the shoe is going to be on the other foot and you are going to reap what you sow.

 

Wait, but those 48 sacks we're leading the league in are sacks given up, not sacks caused by the defense...
We're actually 5th in the league with 40 sacks which is still not bad though.

 

Here here...and actually, I feel sorry for the pastie fans because soon, next year, year after that or so the magic will wane and Brady will either be out of the league or a shell of his former self and when he's gone, I hope they have the same problems replacing him as we have Marino...

Seriously we have to respect the Patriots. Their charismatic fans have come over our way to remind us that their beloved Patriots...Are still the champs around their way.
Obviously Tom Brady is an elite quarterback and the secondary is going to have to do their best to win their one on ones against the champs. If only we had a conerback that had the coverage ability of a Champ Bailey from back in the day (best Dawg DB of all time and my uncles favorite team), we could maybe find a way to stop New England. Poster Meuron brought up the fact that the only stats that matter are the ones on the field. I agree with him and that to me is the making of a team that wants to be The Champ.
