Table tennis or gnip gnop ... very cool that the older coach dude beat the hip athletic prime time player. Sure the team is bantering about this
Wait I thought Philbin had a major disconnect with the players? Why is he playing ping pong with them? <3 Philbin.
Cool story. I am glad they're staying loose and having fun. This little story plus the one about Tannehill gaining respect and being a "boss" has me pretty excited for the future.
I wish there was video of this. Something about Philbin playing ping pong would be hilarious to see. That, and is Grimes even tall enough to see above a ping pong table?
What we need to see from Philbin is consistency in his game. No one ever questioned his talent, and he's shown flashes, but can he finally put it all together at the table? I want to say yes, but history says no.
What are you talking about...he just smoked Grimes, an athletic flea of a man whose probably half Philbin's age. There are two guys better and they are fictional (Gump & Christopher Walken in Balls of Fury).
Another example of what we THINK we know about what goes on, and what the relationships are like, but actually don't have a clue.
Right but how many times have we seen Philbin win a great game. Then follow it up with a loss to an inferior opponent like Sherman? He's played great this season, I just want to see him maintain his level of play.
I appreciate your passion, but I'd respect your opinion more if you did even a minimum amount of research. All of Philbin's losses came when the AC was set bellow 75 degrees. Official Ping Pong Rules dictate indoor ambient temperature be 75-78 degrees. Who as keys to the thermostat?????? Sherman. Its positively Belichickian.
Philbin in locker room after the victory Sunday......if you look in the front row you can see Dimitri Patterson wrapped in medical gauze...
Instead of a coin toss, how about a ping pong match in the middle of the field, Coach vs Coach. For both the start or game and half time. That would spice things up a little. Imagine an overtime playoff game. Tied 45-45. To start OT, they bring out the ping pong table.....lol
Obviously Brent forgot the only way to beat Philbin... throw a wrapper on the floor during a point. You know Philbin with that giant wingspan and intensity to focus on a tiny object is going to be hard to beat.
I hope the beat guys ask Philbin about this today. Would love to hear his response. You know he's going to bust out his dry sense of humor and make a joke.
In Philbin's defense, he was on the injury report that week (epcondylitis to paddle arm) and was listed as questionable. I know these guys play hurt week in and week out, but it does show his spirit and determination against a formidable foe like Sherman. Hell, Sherman's belly is tough enough to circumvent.
There is something wrong with his twitter account. I can read and understand all of his tweets! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
