You can go down the article and past the normal All-Big East media team there are some interesting awards given by the beat writers from each football playing team. While Wanny is named the best head coach recruiter, he is also named the worst game day coach! Worst coach in a college conference!?!?, how did he get two tries in the NFL and why did one of them have to be with us? :confused1:

He's a good coordinator bad coach. Not the only one out there. Cameron might be the exact same thing.

Amazingly, we have arrived at the point where what Wanny did to this franchise is only part of a much larger problem.

he is also better at the pro game than he is at the college game... i mean he was bad with us, but at least he had winning seasons... pitt right now is worst than a laughing stock.

I don't even think he was that good a coordinator to be honest. The guy ran the simplest scheme in history when he ran the Cowboys defense. Wanny was a decent caretaker. He could not ever add to the equation or scheme or adjust.

In my opinion he's a guy that was Jimmy's friend and that friendship led him to where he is. He's a horrible head coach and a horrible personal man. He wrecked two NFL franchises and is now wrecking a college program.

In my opinion we are *** deep in the problem Wannstedt created. You can not draft like he did for as long as he did and not have it bite you in the *** a few years later.

The players he drafted should be in their collective primes and the heart and soul of this football team. Instead he left us with NOTHING. He wrecked this franchise. It could be a decade from him being "resigned" to get the stench off this football team.

If you look at the Bears, and remove Jauron's 13-3 season in 2001 from the equation, it only took them 6 years to recover :shifty:

What is it about Dave that makes owner/athletic directors refuse to fire him long after the average fan has figured out that he blows? Happened here in Miami and now they give him an extension in Pit?

Great question. It never ceases to amaze me how this guy, who is absolutely horrible at running programs, always manages to squeeze an extension out of his employers before he gets run out of town.

They'll end up with a losing record for the next 3 seasons if he sticks around, and even then they'll probably only grudgingly let him go....weird...

He turned drafting bust after bust into an artform. He destroyed us and it will still take some time for us to "BONCE BACK." That's Dave at the postgame presser. We'll get it fixed and we'll bonce back. What a jack***.

I thought he said that about Trent Green when Dick Vermiel and the Rams were attempting to trade him since Curt Warner started lighting it up.

    It was about Trent Green

How about Pitt being up 10-7 against the #2 team in the country. Lots of time left but I thought it would not be this close

When Wannstedt goes to bed tonight, will he stroke that ridiculous porn star mustache, or himself?

What a win. I hate being glad that Wannstache won something, but my entire family is a bunch of West Virginia fans, so I'm glad to see 'em suffer.

Was a fantastic win, suprising that Pitt had such a bad record in such a weak conference with the way that defense played tonight. With that RB they have and that defense . . . if that QB steps up and can really play . . . . I will be putting money on Pitt next year to win that conference.

wow... awoke at 4:30 this morning and the pitt-wv game was on. I didn't bother watching it last night because I expected a rout.. and I can't stand wv day glo uni's.. I was rooting for the ol pornstaches boys tho before it was over.. good win.. THEN, I put on the Hawai'i game I recorded and deciced to watch the last quarter.. man, the rainbow warriors did good.. 28 unanswered points.. I'm glad they get a shot at a bcs bowl game... and I'll tell ya.. sure would like to have a Hercules on the team...
