These are the categorical breakdowns for the miami dolphins in 2013. Pass Offense, 21st Rush Offense, 25th Scoring Offense, 21st Pass Defense, 16th Rush Defense, 25th (with an alleged superiority at the defensive line, good thing we brought in those new LB's as well) Scoring Defense, 18th Point Differential, -16 These are all statistical rankings illustrating that this is a bottom third team in the league right now, as it has been for over a decade. 200 million dollar offseason, 3rd pick in draft and all. At least they don't have national shame and more committees than the Benghazi investigation to go along with the lack of performance.
I think these stats say all that needed regarding the talent on this team, the coaching, and the man who selected this talent. Six years of rebuilding under two different head coaches and we still can't seem to see any improvement. Time to blow it up and start over again. I am sick and tired of mediocrity and even using the term mediocre is being generous when it comes to describing the Dolphin organization at this time.
I warned and was worried that the Dolphins were just the 2012 Cardinals after the 3-0 start despite being outgained by every opponent in those games. Oh how I hoped my fears were wrong... It comes back to bite you when you have a poor staff. Now look at the Cardinals with a new GM & Coach...a gritty & competitive team in the toughest division in the NFL. Same goes for the Chiefs. They've pretty much clinched a playoff spot. Eventually they'll probably need a better QB to make the Super Bowl leap, but they have a solid system in place now so they can at least excite their fanbase.
No. Their Overall TPS and Point Differential suggest 7-9, 8-8, 9-7. They win two games in a row by 2 scores each, while winning the turnover battle by at least 2 in the next two games...and you got yourself a team that is supposed to be 10-6.
While I don't agree with Parcells on a lot of things. The one thing I have always agreed with him is that, "you are what your record says you are". Right now the Dolphins record says they are a mediocre to bad football team and there is no way a team that loses to the Bills at home and a 0-8 Bucs team last night looks like a team that can finish this season with a winning record, much less a 10-6 record. I think a 6-10 or possibly a 7-9 record is much more feasible at this point.
I want u to take a look at the teams in the nfl with a similar pt differential to the fins and tell me if u think those teams are any good. The fins are in very bad company in that regard. They won two games by two scores they also got drubbed by the saints and lost to pats by two scores as well. based on their categorical rankings and their record there is more than enough evidence that this is not a good team. Also.. They DO NOT improve. How is this team any better than two yrs ago witth the same crap record.
