Oh, like you've never done any "hogging"... We used to have weekend contests when I was in the AF to see who could pick up the ugliest or fattest chic - then dump her on a buddy who was too drunk to care. Hysterical. Guy from West Virginia ALWAYS won. Guy from Georgia always ended up taking one home. lol...
"Thankfully"? Yikes. Don't want to be around when that dam of flesh bursts free... Contents under pressure for real. lol...
So the guy from W. Virginia was very accustomed to talking to and getting a fat and ugly all excited, while the guys from Georgia always drank far too much.
Almost... but really the guy from GA just used being drunk as an excuse for hooking up with whatever was available... lol...
Have a good Veterans Day weekend...
The only things that almost virtually guarantee I'll get teared up are soldier & family reunions. I don't watch them anymore.
Here's the thing... you see enough of these and then when your family is being honored you have to be thinking "Oh, Dad's probably gonna pop ou!" so when he doesn't you actually feel really let down. See? It's actually cruel to the other 9/10ths of families who don't get the surprise. You're mean when you like this.
Jesus, it's almost cruel when you see how pathetically desperate the dog is to do whatever it's been told just to get that meat into it's mouth. Reminds me of Maynard at a gloryhole.
If you can get past the overly sensationalized title. Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt was Former Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) in the US Department of Education under President Reagan. Due to her unique perspective she was able to observe firsthand the methods the Federal Government used to deliberately dumb down the American public education system with Soviet style "brainwashing".
Bit of a overexaggeration with the last statement. It's not brainwashing. It's playing to the lowest common denominator. The whole concept behind "No child left behind", which, if I ask my wife's parents (one of which was a superintedent, other was a teacher/principal), they agree that it was the worst thing to ever happen to US education. It's the same issue in business as well. I spend ~80% of my time managing the bottom quartile of my employees to allow them to catch up. The people who get hurt? The top quartile - who from a business perspective - we should be spending most of our time with because they are our future leaders. Same with the kids in school. The kids losing out on attention are the ones that are easily passing the MCAS tests and meeting the quotas. I can see it in my children's elementary school and they go to one of the best public school systems in the state.
