Man they've all written columns that are wrong, they predict, read into things and report from sources, it happens and you are very aware of that. I find some of his columns downright idiotic but I think he writes a lot of insightful columns on race and social issues, I'd like to read one from him on this particular issue. He has a huge ego....this is a guy that talked about how he would beat up Shaq.....so he's got some douchebag in him I'll give you that.

No. But I've interviewed a fair share of "important" people, some of which where utterly full of themselves and still perfectly capable of producing brilliant, (self-)ironic pieces, completely detached from their regular moronic self.

I don't understand this. Skip Bayless needs a brain transplant. Whether Incognito is racist is pretty much irrelevant to this matter. I am confident that he probably made life miserable for white teammates, as well. This entire issue, to me, boils down to two things: what kind of work environment this team has and what kind of leadership this team has. That's not to say I approve of the name(s) Incognito called Martin, because I don't. Whether it points to his racism is almost moot, though: it points to a guy who thinks he's a lot smarter than he is and who doesn't know when to quit. When that guy is one of the "leaders" of one of the most important units on the team, your team has a problem. People saw no red flags on Martin before the draft. People are calling him soft (and worse). However, Martin survived and thrived on a college team with the only active coach in the NFL I'd be scared to go out for beers with: Jim Harbaugh. (I have a feeling that drinking with Jim might lead many a man to jail time. He's crazy. I digress.) What if Martin isn't soft and what if Incognito isn't racist? What if those two just can't work together and nobody in a position of leadership could recognize it and do something about it? It makes the most sense that another player should have stepped in and tried to calm Incognito down; it seems the Dolphins lack that player. It also makes sense that a position coach would have been able to do something, but only if he had first recognized the problem as a problem. I've been on teams (in sports and in regular jobs) where somebody who was loud and not very smart made every day a real drag for a lot of other people. Surprise of surprises, none of these teams functioned all that well.
