ESPN is loving this. We are the next Monday Night game after tonights. And we are 4-4 playing a crap winless Tampa team....now they don't need a story.
I'm not sure if there's an overt agenda here. The problem is that with all this social media now reporters practically fall over themselves to be the first to break something. This may mean some of their sources are a bit circumspect, but it's a roll of the dice they're often willing to make, especially if they're not particularly happy with the regime in charge.
And he just happened to reach his breaking point as he lost his job at LT and was moved to a position at which he is less comfortable. The timing is suspicious to me.
Ride it out for the week and a half which BSPN will be all over it. They will get bored once Tebow sneezes or Peyton throws 5 TDs. Send Richie to sensitivity training. Blueprint: Riley Cooper Let Martin do his thing and he can be released on "mutal terms"
Unfortunately, we don't know to what extent "looking the other way" means. Reportedly this was addressed by Philbin and the parties back in the spring. Not to absolve Joe, but the guy is an NFL head coach, not a babysitter responsible for overseeing all the off-the-field actions of 53 guys. I will say he's probably culpable to the extent of perhaps not having a system in place that monitors these issues more closely, but it's a blame I think he would share with others in the organization, including the GM.
There won't be a lawsuit. There could be a grievance, but hard to see the NFLPA getting too heavily involved considering this type of behavior is so prevalent. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Depends, if he quits football altogether I'd expect there will be a lawsuit for a environment that promoted harrassment, by quitting he can show actual damages.
Another thing to mention was prior to Martin's lunchroom incident, the same prank was pulled on Nate Garner a week earlier. Martin was a part of that one, too. Not trying to slander Martin, but I believe the truth lies somewhere in the middle of Jonathan Martin is weak willed and Richie Incognito is the Devil.
Yes, because the cafeteria prank was so bad, that Martin remembered Ritchie forces all the rookies and 2nd year players to pay for his lavish lifestyle from hookers to blow. At which point Incognito became a racist and the leader fo the locker room mafia. Philbin was told all of this and instead turning in Incognito based on his numerous RICO violations, chose to laugh manically while he played the fiddle.
If that's his dad, then we know where he got his temper from. Its funny their last name is Incognito.
If it actually is Richie's father, I wouldn't hold it against Richie. He can't control what his father doesm, but it certainly is not helpful.
It's interesting that Incognito got injured on Thursday and the line didn't really play so bad. Dude is a bleeping cancer. Maybe the team will be better without him. From what I've read, it's totally bullying and I wouldn't put up with that crap in my workplace.
First time for everything, lol. although I believe we essentially agree on political matters, so there's that.
Very true. Step 1. We love the fins. Step 2. We're pretty liberal. Step 3. We agree Ritchie isn't responsible for his dad, though they should both keep their mouths shut right now. Step 4.---------- Step 5. Peace on Earth.
Aaron Hernandez is facing murder. Pouncey was subpoenaed because Hernandez is now suspected of running guns and Massachusetts state police thinks Pouncey may have been a part of that.
So which intrepid reporter is gonna dial up Jake Long and ask him his thoughts?? EDIT: just saw crunch's post on this thought,,,
Lmao at people calling for Ireland and philbins head over this. Same posters that never liked them. Bottom line is Martin is a titty baby and incognito is a jackass. The problems have removed themself and were removed. No need to call for Anyone else's head
Ive been off for a day and only just seen the reports. Those couple of waves have turned into a Tsunami. If Incognito has sent "threatening" and "racially charged" messages then he should be fired. End of. Why on Earth would a fellow player do this? (if it's actually legit). Unreal.
Woah... didn't someone here post something similar to the comments about Martin and suicide around here?? Crazy... Maybe that person just read it from FH and brought it over here too. This story just gets crazier and crazier.
main question at the moment for me, was Incognito suspended for something he did yesterday or was it in relation to evidence turned over by Martin's camp? Hopefully that will be answered today.
My guess is something that Martin's family/representatives turned over to the Dolphins yesterday when they officially made their allegations.
