What if Richie is shaking the kid down, or threatening him with violence, or using racial epithets, or all of the foregoing? Is the kid supposed to just take it? Remember that both his parents are lawyers. What's coming is probably a hostile work environment race-discrimination lawsuit

According to the players, he's "Eh, just a guy." Guess we'll find out.

Most acts of bully behavior are subtle. Especially as an adult. I worked with an adult bully who kept most of his acts well concealed. Was generally liked. Only a few really knew what he was up to. Would tell others close to him that he was going to get the person he didn't like. But very subtle in his actions.

Wait, wait wait........Martins parents are both lawyers???

What kind of an ignoramus bullies a guy with parents who are lawyers??

Incognito should be jailed for extreme stupidity if nothing else.

No it wasn't. Read that again. I belive it was "source(s) associated with the players". You know, like a player's lawn guy.

The quote didn't come directly from them, but I trust Barry Jackson has a legitimate source.

I feel for Joe Philbin if Martin wasn't forthwright in what was going on behind closed doors, whatever they discussed in the Spring. Philbin can't tap their cell phones, but can only provide an environment that they can express their grievances. If Martin didn't convey the full breadth of what Incognito has been accused of when they had their meeting earlier in the year, what can you do if your Philbin? You can lead a horse to water..

Why? What constitutes a legitimate source about the players that is not the players?

The same players that showered Philbin with Gatorade in the locker room after beating Atlanta.

I'm going to keep believing the players like Philbin until proven otherwise. We'll find out soon enough based on what happens on the field.

You're a conspiracy theorist, aren't you? I believe him because he has access to the team facility, you know, access to people involved in player development and player personnel. Of any of the media guys, Barry's the most on point, by far.

He did deal with it and apparently effectively too, considering Martin started jumping right in and helping with pranks.

It's from Barry Jackson's Sports Buzz from Sunday morning. There's a separate thread with it already.

    No I'm not.

He, like all local sports media have an agenda, and it is not accuracy. Just because he's been accurate, doesn't mean he is now.

Again, what constitutes a legitimate source associated with players? Could be anyone a player has met.

Whatever this turns out to be, it happened AFTER Tin Man left the team.

Recall the two were buddy buddy in the aftermath of Martin's breakdown.

OK, then what about going and beating a really good Bengals team after all the distractions on a short week? Players could have easily folded, but they didn't.

It's even funnier because it's the Padres, not the Astros.

I'm gonna go ahead and blame all of this on Mike Dee.

I think you hit the nail on the head, it's more on the players sticking together than anything the coaches did.

In case one did not notice, the ones even remotely buying into all this either don't like Ireland (and they know who they are) or were bullied in the past and are having flashbacks in PTSD moments imo.

As a Dolphins fan, I want to see wins, they are not a screen that I project likes or dislikes on.

The OL by any measure has been DREADFUL, any chaos that causes changes is fine by me.

I can't wait to watch the incomparable Jeff Ireland and his group of awesome scouts and offensive line coach extraordinaire, Jim Turner put together an entirely new offensive line. We will need 4 new starters and the only starter who is not an issue could be looking at felony charges.

    What could possibly go wrong?

    Sure it is.

The days of Murrow and Cronkite are long gone. hell the days of Edwin Pope are even gone too. These guys aren't paid for accuracy. They are paid by response.

There's a reason Omar has a job and its not because he's right. Hell, even Armando has kept his job even though he's been caught publishing plagiarized material.

Maybe in Miami, but not everyone; it's certainly not a fact. And there's a reason why Barry Jackson breaks more stories than either Armando or Omar. To be fair, I've only seen you post like this about the media when there are reports anything "negative" as it relates to the Dolphins.

Look for the media to get chippy with Philbin if he tries to pull the same thing he did with the Pouncey situation.

He won't say a thing. The team and league lawyers will have a buzzer taped to his *** and will hit the shock button anytime he even approaches the topic.
