Agreed. The PI call was total horse ****. The official with the best view did nothing, the guy on the far sideline without clear line of sight threw the flag.

 

...and 17 of those 59 yards came after the bullshlit PI call.

So, is it safe to say Dmitri Patterson is a ball-hawk?

 

I haven't focused on McKinnie on every play, maybe half of them though, and he hasn't messed up yet at all IMO.

 

I'm seriously done with him as a kick off returner. He's made two awful decisions and then (as Simms noted during the game) the wrong way.

 

Yeah, like guys as good as Wilfork are on every street corner.

 

This is the first time I can recall seeing Tannehill putting some arch on his long passes… he usually throws it a lot flatter...

 

He changes the secondary. Anything that reduces the amount Jimmy Wilson plays improves this defense.

Yup. And Tanny hasn't been on the ground once if I am not mistaken. Looks like our tackles might be fixed? If McKinnie plays like this the rest of the way. Re-sign the man for another year while we work in a new guy.

 

That was the best coached and best played half of football I am seen from the Dolphins in a number of years. Now they have to go out and play just as well in the second half of the game.

No excuses for not winning this game after completely dominating the Patriots so far.

 

So how's our defense look now that it's no longer missing or banged up across the board? Are we a different team with Wake, Patterson, Soliai, and Ellerbe all in the lineup together and healthier?

Wake is far from 100%. Dude's barely been on the field. I think (in hindsight) they should have sat him down for 3 weeks and let him get healthy.

Still not a fan of Ellerbe. Patterson is well worth the money if he stays healthy. Wake is back..but he doesn't look 100% yet. Only seen one really good burst from him so far.

Also means that maybe the Dolphins need to work on depth a bit for the defense.

All quiet against Martin as well. Mckinnnie's run blocking is not bad at all. He rode Jones for four or five yards.

 

NE has been bringing a lot of blitzes where I know Tanny would have been on his *** a few times already with the OL of the last few weeks. The tackle change is really helping.

 

Sims and Egnew need to step up now that we lost Gibby.
