Anyone know why Bayless is dropping?

Boy, i'm happy with Beasley. Jake Long and now Beasley... good draft year!

 

Disagree, this kid compares favorably with peja at the same stage. His fathers personal ties to D'Antoni undoubtedly played a role but will also ease the transition. Hes going to be a good scorer, I have no doubt about that.

The only other player I wanted as a Knick fan that I felt we might realistically have a shot at was Mayo and Love and I knew we werent taking Love because hes not a fast enough player for an up and down style. I didnt want bayless because I felt he is a combo guard and we have enough of those. His game is basically similar to Crawford's and Robinson. Gordon I liked but our need is at the SF position because we need a Shooter.

As far as the Knicks go Im sure there is at least another deal coming because you cant go into the season having finished dead last in blocks the last two years and among the worst in FG% against and simply not try to fix it.

 

Pacers just took Bayless.

 

Nets having a big day, traded Jefferson to free up cap to get LeBron in 2010 and get a big boy who can play in Brooks Lopez at 10.

I like the pick. He's going to take a lot of time to develop, but GS is a deep team.

 

hes a great Rebound/Defender(can guard 1-4). He needs to work on his offensive skills big time though

 

Anyone else like what the Bucks have done today? Our new GM has done a great job so far, we turned Ji and Simmons into Richard Jefferson.

& to the T'Wolves fan who didn't like the Mayo pick, no worries, dude. You'll begin to like the pick in November 2008, and you'll absolutely love the pick by 2009 or 2010. Mayo will be a solid player in this league with a chance to be elite. No doubt, IMO.

I like you guys alot, Jefferson is PERFECT for your team and you got another good maybe great player down the road in Alexander.

 

How many times did the Lopez twins hit puberty (voice)? Got damn.

 

I love Mo and Redd also but collectively they can't guard anyone. Atleast having Jefferson on the floor gives us one solid perimeter defender. We are gonnna score a ton next year with Jefferson on the floor this just opens up more jumpers for Mo and Redd.

Bad move IMO. Beasley will be a beast, but taht was a solid package, and I think the Heat need alot more than Beasley who has some awesome offensive potential but serious other questions (defense namely).

Agree. As Bill Simmons says, they have figured out how to spend Paul Allens money effectively. They have a smart, dedicated, active and crafty GM, a great group of young players and are set to really make a stretch of playoff runs.

It's a great deal for Portland. Jarret Jack is a backup PG on a playoff caliber team in this league at best, IMO. Major disappointment. I like Brandon Rush, but Bayless is the far superior talent. Bayless was my 4th ranked prospect coming into this draft, and I still feel the same about him.

Seattle is going to regret passing on Bayless for Westbrook, although I think Westbrook will be solid in his own right.

Bench is deep: Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, Joel Przybilla, Channing Frye, James Jones

That team is the 2nd seed at the minimum in the East. They'll struggle against the veteran West teams, but should make a playoff push this year and will definitely be an elite team in a few years. Could be a contender this year.

 

So who did Portland give up to get Arthur?
