That's one of the nice things about Cam Newton projecting forward. He shows the same kind of awareness about when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em when he's carrying the ball. They just need a whole offense around him.

Sherman is patting Fitzgerald on the helmet as a thank you for laying off a bit and not sending him to the morgue on that block.

Do you think he's there there, as in Brady, Rodgers, Brees level of chess? I'm not sure I'd go that far yet.... but I think he's on his way.

When you said in a couple of years he will be one of the games NEXT great QBs I thought you were implying he already isn't NEXT in line so to speak. Ofcourse he isn't one of those guys yet, but labeling him NEXT now is valid IMO.

This is getting too confusing, Stitches?? Help us out.

Newton does show a lot more of it than RG3. It was one of the things I talked a lot about when Newton came out and then again when RG3 came out. Newton will be a little more daring than Wilson sometimes when it comes to physicality but he's huge and strong so he can be. Like you say, he seems to have a feel for the right mix. I don't think RG3 does. The player he seems to admire most (Vick) doesn't either.

I think the reality is if you played Russell Wilson in the playoffs LAST year, in terms of danger to your team and being hard to beat, there was virtually no difference between Wilson and those guys. He wasn't consistently like that last year by any means which is what makes those guys so special, but in the playoffs last year he was that hard to beat. I still can't believe Atlanta pulled out that game. If they hadn't, Seattle might have won the Super Bowl a year ago with a rookie quarterback.

RTH certainly belongs in that discussion.

Luck is clearly the best of the bunch. Wilson benefits from a great D, one of the best OL's in the NFL, a great running game and a stable of talented playmakers around him. RGIII is exciting but his sty;e of football will limit his career with injuries. Kaepernick has had the benefit of a great team, great OL, one of the best TE's, a great running game and playmakers around him. Cam is a great playmaker and puts up stats but I don't think he has "it".

I think if you put RTH in SF or Seattle he does just as good if not better than Wilson and Kaepernick.

It's downright eerie how much the things people say about Russell Wilson remind me of the things people used to say about Tom Brady, who is now widely regarded as one of the best if not the best quarterback to ever play the game.

I think what makes Wilson more impressive is that his windows are often small due to his small receivers and that they get very little separation. Not unlke Tannehill last year, where every throw has to be spot-on. Wilson is particularly accurate with insane anticipation to the sidelines and has a unique touch on the ball when he's throwing to the perimeter. That team is really hard to defend in the redzone because of his anticipation, the bruiser in the backfield, and Wilson's playmaking ability. That offense is going to be a handful when they get Harvin back.

IMO Wilson is incredible at getting the ball out quickly. Last year he sometimes threw it so quickly that he failed to set his feet. That resulted in a higher percentage of misses on plays that should have been easy. This year I've seen less of that. I don't think he's as good as Luck and RT as a pure passer attacking from the pocket, but his processing speed seems off the charts.

I said last year had Wilson had prototype size, he would have competed with luck for the best qb in the draft.

I am a huge tannehill fan and believe he will be elite, but Wilson is special as is luck

Even Russell Wilson last night though took two sacks by holding the football too long, I believe. One essentially handed the Cardinals a touchdown.

It happens. When the crap around you is caving down around your ears it just makes people more sensitive to it.

Cam Newton's career YPA is better than Tom Brady and Peyton Manning right now. Yes, I'm kind of cherry-picking that stat because when you factor in TDs, INTs and sacks he isn't as good as them. But then again, he's still a young QB on a team with very questionable talent, whereas the likes of Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers have had very talented teams through much of their careers (or at least their peaks). He's also had very questionable coaching and I didn't mention his rushing stats yet. Put him on a team like that Redskins team last year and holy crap. He hasn't even reached his peak yet, and that's scary.

I love watching Russell Wilson play. I would have never watched that game last night if he wasn't playing, especially with playoff baseball on at the same time. I'd give Seattle Tanny and any other player they wanted, maybe any two other players they wanted for him. And I think I'd take him over Luck, at least short term.

Just going by the numbers, Tannehill is averaging a TD passing a game and 276 yards a game, where as the running game accounts for 70 yards. That's 80% of the offense that he is generating. Coincidentally, Miami is #17 in scoring.

Last season, he averaged around 206 yards per game and less than a TD per game. This season, he leads the league in sacks, with 3 more than anyone else, and is #2 in dropped passes.

    Games:

    Cle - 24 of 35 for 272, 1 TD,1 pick, 4 sacks and 4 drops.

    Ind - 23 of 34 for 319, 1 TD, 1 pick, 5 sacks and 1 drop.

    Atl - 24 of 35 for 236, 2 TD's, 1 pick, 5 sacks and 3 drops.

    NOl - 22 of 35 for 249, 1 TD, 3 picks, 4 sacks and 3 drops.

    Bal - 21 of 40 for 307, 1 TD, 0 picks, 6 sacks and 6 drops.

Aside from the Saints game, Tannehill has been able to overcome not only his own mistakes, but also those of his OC and surrounding talent to win 3 games, and he showed a lot of moxy in getting us in position to win a 4th. He is easily the one most responsible for the wins, or as in the Ravens game, putting us in a position to win.

We are 3-2, with a bit more blocking and a couple less drops, we're 4-1.

The guy strikes me as a winner... Almost wished we could fast forward to the 2014 season, when I think he really shines and this team is prepped for the playoffs.

I like watching Wilson but its not even close with Luck, I'd trade Wilson and an entire draft for Luck.

I don't give a f*** who the GM is. We need a RG and RT and to stay healthy. All the other pieces are there. We're close, we just need to stop beating ourselves, which we did in the last 2 games.
