I don't know if that's a real spoiler or not, jt0323, but there's no way I'm clicking on it! I'm guessing it's a joke, but too close to the finale now to even remotely risk seeing a spoiler.
From what I remember Walt does not know Todd can't cook the blue stuff. Uncle Jack and Todd asked Walt to cook for them one more time to show Todd again the formula. They never mentioned that Todd's meth was 62% or whatever purity nor did they mention his meth didn't have the blue in it. Walt showed Todd how to cook just like he did with Jesse. If Jesse could learn how to cook with Walt's help, why can't Todd? You're assuming way too much, again without any evidence that Walt thinks Jesse is either helping cook or is still alive. There's nothing that Walt sees or hears that would suggest Jesse is helping.
I don't know. I would think the blue has to do with purity. And considering Todd and them wanted Walt to cook for them one last time. He knows the purity isn't on par. Which would mean it wouldn't be blue. That is if the blue would be because of how pure it is, which would be my guess.
I thought the blue was more about a trademark ala Jesse putting chili powder in his before he teamed up with Walt. Either way Walt doesn't know how pure Todd's cooking is, just that they wanted Walt to cook for them one last time. Sure Walt can probably guess Todd's skills aren't up to par due to them asking but again when Walt watches the Gray Matter interview they never mention the purity just that it's blue like Heisenberg's. Walt also knows that Todd has been cooking and selling before he went into hiding, it's not like Todd randomly started to cook once he left for NH. But ok, even if Walt thinks maybe they had Jesse cook once for them, he has no reason to believe that Jesse is still alive and working with/for them.
There was an episode after Todd killed that kid showing Heisenberg trying to teach him how too cook. It was clear he wasn't as apt a student as Jesse was. At best he is a very slow learner. As JT pointed out, it would absolutely make sense if Heisenberg, knowing best Todd's cooking deficiencies, deduced that the blue wasn't something Todd was responsible for. Keep in mind that the only person Heisenberg knows of who can most accurately replicate his cook is Jesse. We aren't giving Heisenberg enough credit. He has no hard evidence to suggest that the skin heads actually killed Jesse. They've disobeyed his orders before, why would they be inclined to oblige now that they hit the jackpot? If anybody is in any position to put two and two together, it's Heisenberg. My prediction: Heisenberg turns himself in, but only to help the DEA take down Lydia and the skin heads, the new management in the blue empire. I think when all is said and done he will be torn in his decision to take down Jesse with them. The m60 may be among the show's biggest red herrings. But no matter what happens, Walt is officially dead. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I think the fact the news station mentioned the blue is "back out there".....Walt put 2 and 2 together they took Jesse, and now the blue is out....pretty simple imo..
Also didnt Lydia come in A1A car wash and ask Walt to cook one more time the beginning of this season (5.b) and ask him to teach Todd, or get the purity right?
Also, since he's getting ABQ papers wouldn't he likely know of Andrea's death. I'm sure a single mother being executed on her front porch would likely make front page news. Why else would they kill Andrea if not to force Jessie's hand.* But that would have happened months before he finally made the decision to come back.*
I was thinking too.....Walt is not, nor has he ever been Rambo.....everything points to Walt having this gun and hes just going to blaze into the Nazi hide-out and take out 10 guys....I don't think that will be the case. The gun is going to be for something different entirely..... 3 more days......insane!
Walt has proven to be a cold blooded killer. Remember when he mowed down the drug dealers and capped one of them in the head.*
Thats great and all but thats a more cold, takes balls to pull the trigger, or push the gas pedal. He is NOT a navy seal...hes not going to sneak into this facility and mow down this entire gang with 1 loud *** gun. Hank and Gomie are trained, seasoned DEA agents and stood no chance. On that note, I rewatched the pilot last night and Hank was showing off his glock at Walts party.....he mentioned if theres gunna be a gun fight, "bring the guns" I dunno if that was a sign of Hank and Gomie being under gunned and meeting their demise, or a nod to Walt having the m60. All in all.....watching the pilot again shows how amazing of a show this is, and its def got a rewatchablilty of multiple times through.
I think predicting what will happen to take down Uncle Jack will be of Folly. Obviously the gun will be part of it.* Anyone who predicted Walt would convince Tio to go suicide bomber in "Face Off" is lying.*
Think about it from Walt's perspective, in Walt's mind why would the crew keep Jesse alive when Jesse saw them murderer Hank and Gomez? Why would Jesse agree to work with them? Why would Jesse ever work with Todd? It was Todd that gave Jesse the final push to leave the business in the first place. Do you think Walt would even think that the crew is holding Jesse hostage? Especially for at least a month or so? Again there is nothing that we have seen Walt say or do that he would suspect Jesse is helping them and I obviously could be wrong but if/when Walt finds out Jesse is with the Uncle Jack's crew I bet he's surprised. I just think we're assuming something that there's hardily any logical evidence to back it up.
Yes she did but in the interview that Walt was watching it never said how pure the meth is simply the blue meth was still out there now.
We don't know exactly when she was killed though. Remember Walt is getting the papers a month at a time not daily. For all we know Andrea could have gotten popped 2 weeks, 2 days, 2 hours, or 2 minutes before the Walt bar scene.
Yeah but it sure looked like he was getting a ton of them so perhaps he was getting all of them each month.* But yeah he might have still be enroute to Vermont when that happened.* I think it's reasonable to believe Walt has an idea Jessie is still alive though.*
Ok everyone post their predictions......you are Vince Gilligan......end the series with your predictions: - Marie kills herself....show possibly starts with her laying dead or about to do it (with poison, like she was discussing with her therapist) -Skylar and Jr are in protection services, Walt reaches out one last time and is shut down.... -Walt kills nazis, free's Jesse as his last hope for any kind of family.... -Jesse kills Walt or leaves him to get caught by dea/to die...Leaves with Brock and a barrel of cash to Alaska - Walt takes ricin.....dies slowly with Walt Jr seeing him as monster. This will be 100% wrong, I just can't wait!
Same here. IIRC it's blue bc of that different kind of pseudo they used (that barrel they steal early on), not bc it's really really pure. I remember his first batches being really pure but not blue.
I there will be some type of Grand Torino ending. - Walt will save Jesse, as he always has. What's old is new again... - Try and reconcile with him and will fail. - Jesse and Walt will create an uneasy truce. The enemy of my enemy is my friend type of thing. Walt is dying anyway, so Jesse won't kill him. - Walt will sacrifice himself in a way that spares Jesse, showing Jesse that he does care for him in his own, strange way. Will get credit from the media for destroying the drug operation. Gives Jesse a second chance at life. This will be an emotional crescendo, probably a Walter speech. - Walt will do something that ensures his Heisenberg legacy. Probably scientific and awesome. Yeah, science! Oh, and the ricin is for Lydia, I suspect. Cutting off the middle man to the drug trade. - Jesse will be the only one present at Walt's funeral. Jesse will have an emotional monologue over his coffin/grave. Speaking as Vince Gilligan/Fans, he will highlight the hi's and low's, and we'll be left wondering, how do we really feel about Walter White at the end of it all? - Being solo at his funeral motivates Jesse to seek out the White family. - Jesse will have an opportunity to explain how things really went down at the end. Will tell them where Hank is buried and how Walt was willing to give up everything to save Hank. - Family will also be unsure how to feel. Family (maybe not Marie) finally goes and pays last respects to Walter White. Mourn the man, bury the tyrant. I'm probably a 100% wrong lol. Can't wait till sunday night. The best part, Miami plays monday. So there's no chance whatsoever of the episode being ruined by a depressing loss. My body is ready!
Someone on another forum I'm on pointed out today that Lydia is Scottish, I hadn't realised at all (despite the actor's name being a bit of a dead giveaway!). Of course, that explains why Todd finds her so hot.
She was the blacksmith in the Heath Ledger movie "Knight's Tale". Seemed much hotter then.* http://www.iofilm.co.uk/pix/features/laura_fraser250x345.jpg
This episode with the pizza on the roof and the "restain this!" and Jesse buying his house from his parents is definitely one of my favorites.
Read an interesting theory about the finale that I liked. At the end of the finale, Jesse will use Walt's money (69 million) to purchase Grey Matter stock for Walt's children. Interesting because Jesse was present at dinner when Walt explained that he sold his children's birthright (Grey Matter stock) for 5,000 dollars, "a few months rent. and that he wasn't in the meth business, but the empire business. 1). Walt's family won't/can't take his money his straight up. 2). We've seen Jesse care for children before with Mike's niece. Jesse wanted to give her money since he knew Mike was dead and the IRS seized her accounts and she was left with nothing. Much like the White family. 3). It's obvious from past seasons that Walt has tremendous contempt for the Swartz (SP??) family and their roles in his demise. There's the sketchiness of the buyout itself, Walt's relationship with Gretchen (they were engaged, IRRC), and something shady obviously happened, with Walt's research, in Walt's mind. Their TV interview struck a nerve with Walt, big time. he had given up until he saw the interview and how they trashed him and discredited him with the success of the company, despite the fact Walt has, in the past, alluded to them stealing his research and using it propel the company forward. So Jesse will use most (maybe not all) the money to buy stock and get it into Walt's children's name. Obviously the money isn't enough to buy majority control or anything, but it's enough to give Walt's kids their "birthright" and it will serve to keep their lives financially sustainable, as Walt originally wanted. And Jesse gets to be the hero of the day, doing the right thing, even after all the **** he's been through. And it fits my Grand Torino theory ending. Crawl Space: Agreed. That final scene is the best scene on TV, ever. Period. No debate. Walter is angry, confused, and scared. Skylar is frightened beyond belief and is in a state of shock. Marie is on the answering Machine freaking out about the danger their in. And while all this happening, Walter starts to have have a nervous breakdown in the background, laughing... I'm not even sure how to describe the laughter. It's just... chilling. Bryan Cranston is too ****ing good. There are too many to list... Gliding all over, fly, 4 days out, hermonos, salud, etc...
Krazy 8 death is one of my favorite moments. He wanted any reason not to kill him. I thought he was going to let him go, when he killed him I knew that this show was something g special. Also the whole I'm the danger scene. I also loved the scene where Jesse thought Walt poisoned Brock and Walt convinces him it was Gus. My least favorite part of the series was janes crashing the plane. Only reason was I thought something big happened when you see the two dead bodies and the teddy best. Was kind of a let down for me. Bl
At first, I agreed with that. Considering Walt's story, I thought it was a let down because my imagination ran wild with what it could of meant. But after time passing and plenty of rewatches later, I kind of loved that. I also really liked Walt and Jane's dad sharing a beer and shooting the **** about life. Only to have Walt watch Jane die. Which leads to an even bigger tragedy. A great demonstration about how this show is all about consequences.
Yea I thought the whole thing w the plane and the bear's eyeball leading up to it were great. That theory about Jesse and Grey Matter makes total sense. Could def see something along those lines.
