4 catches - 42 yards.. Thought he was crucial in the victory, he's so damn strong, players bouncing off his ***, and let me tell you something, his hands are outstanding, the catch on the sideline where he had his hands in a supinated position to catch the ball around his navel, in a clutch third down, sh$$t thats a very difficult catch and he made it look easy..It showed me that the game comes easy for him, and he just inserted himself as a legit weapon imo, and only a matter of time before this kid could become a real player, hi upside imo...got Hines ward written all over him..
He played great. Been waiting for him to get his chance this season. Hopefully that's a coming out party for him today and he's more of a fixture in the receiving game going forward.
been a long time since we had a set of receivers like this. even longer since we had WR's and a QB at the same time. I'm thinking, have to go back to Marino-Fryar-Keith Jackson-Byars and Ingram.
Serious impact from Rishard. Just huge. Besides Wallace, all the WRs stepped up today, man, big catches at big moments. Very encouraging.
It balances out nicely. A top speed guy, intermediate guy, short yardage steady hands guy, and an all around physical guy.
And they're all savvy. The play where Brandon Gibson got knocked back, recovered, and stretched for the first down was just plain smart.
You know, the much-maligned Brandon Gibson (myself included, did not get that signing) has been earning that deal so far.
I have been a Matthews fan since day one. Called him a poor mans Steve Smith from Carolina. He will be big for us if given the chance. He literally helped win us this game today. He was huge....kid can play WR
Matthews. Underrated guy. And as our #4 WR would get very favorable matchups. Would love to see more of him, when facing teams with 'shallow' secondary talent.
