I rewatched it too and it was Hank's truck, but I listened to it with headphones on for better clarity and he said "Look at this, I even brought a shovel".
who cares, it's all semantics anyway b/c the uncle was clearly there for the coordinates, not the meth cooking [which he mentioned not a single word about]. That was the whole point of the uncle's speech about the directions- to let the viewers know why he showed up even though he was called off. Walt and the audience were all wondering why he showed up. That's not a question the show's creators would overlook and not provide a clear answer to. It wasn't "oops, I overslept" or "sorry my phone died", and there certainly wasn't any mention about the meth-cooking. The uncle didn't go into a long dialogue about the coordinates for no good reason. I'm surprised this is even being debated. BTW, regardless of whose SUV it was he did say, "I even brought a shovel".
Originally I thought they still showed up because they thought Walt was distressed when saying don't come. But I can agree its about the coordinates after that. How could he have any clue about the barrels though. So I don't know how it could be debated he showed up to dig up the barrels.
then that's just a goof on his line that was missed b/c he should've said "they" even brought a shovel. That way it would've sounded more like a happy birthday to me moment. Either way, he couldn't resist finding out what was so important that had to be saved via coordinates.
I actually didn't mind that one not being resolved. But I know that was a pretty popular one along with Melifi's rape victim and no follow up with that.
See I liked all those dream sequences and kind of life experiences Tony goes through. I thought it was very interesting. I liked Chris' death bc it's so unexpected and fast and I thought it was a realistic way that something like that would go down. I guess they kind of leave AJ and Meadow in the middle of nowhere at times but I pretty much hated both of them so that was ok. Aside from not doing more w Paulie and Furio and a few small dumb details in the last season I thought it was good throughout.
I dont think it was a goof, more like a joke or being sarcastic or I dont know what exactly you would call it. But he was grabbing the shovel and it was kind of like he was joking, aint that funny, I even brought a shovel, type thing.
I know exactly what you are saying. Its hard to explain but hes basicly like, hey look I even brought a shovel, when he did't. Its like saying, hey look someone is driving my car, when its a rolls royce.
Greatest episode in television history and we're 2 pages deep into a ****ing irrelevant debate about a line that means ****ing nothing to the show......
That is were you are wrong Sick. See this is how the story really comes to life. Turns out, the shovel is made of solid gold and was worth 300 mil. So we have to figure out who owned this thing before the last episode when they will tell us.
One thing I learned about this show is, nothing is a mistake. Vince Gilligan is like Coach Philbin, pays attention to every little detail. Its art, and its his finest work that is perfect. Its not like LOST, which is my favorite show, or was until BB. There are no lose ends, very few blemishes on this series. If I had to pick one, would be Marie shoplifting angle, Went no where, and I am glad they dropped that quick. If you can get past that, which is very easy to do, this is the closest to perfection for a show as you can get. The story is a beautiful story all together!
The shovel was probably developed more as a character than Gomie. Btw, Saul got a prequel spinoff, so the question is will the Shovel? Let's talk about the shovel for a minute. Does anyone think the shovel will ultimately avenge its friend, the pizza? If so, does the Pontiac Aztec decide to come back and get involved? Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
Also, I'm assuming we've seen the last of Badger and Skinny Pete. And I guess the Freddy Munoz rumors of him being on the show never materialized?
Agreed. By order of importance. Walt > Gus > ... > Jesse > ... > ... > the pizza > Skylar > ... > Flynn > ... > the Aztec > ... > the fly > the shovel > ... > Marie > ... > Gomie. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
the shovel may win an Emmy, going against Holly for best performance! Also Holly is a 10x better actor then Harrison!
Is he related to Frankie Munoz, star of Malcolm in the Middle? Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
Yep, to me it was like the writers ran out of gas, Furio, Christopher, Paulie, even Meadow, all could have been a lot more then they wound up being. I thought the season with Funhouse was brilliant, some of the best TV I've ever watched. When his sister shot Richie, that was brilliant.
Just caught up with the episode, and nothing to add but "wow". And was just going to say the same, that was some acting by the baby, especially in the fire engine! I was watching the scene trying to imagine how they could get a baby to make exactly the right expressions on cue.
I am watching S4 E09 on netflix and found this conversation interesting. Paraphrasing here Walt: Hank you caught somewhat indisposed Hank: Indisposed? You mean like taking a dump indisposed? Walt: Yeah Hank CAUGHT Walt indisposed, taking a ****!
The Marie as shoplifter was important in the overall narrative of lying which then hurts people other than you. It was a long time ago, but Skylar was once detained by a store security guard for Marie's shoplifting. And Hank used his connections multiple times to get her off the hook, which ultimately led him to become involved in Gale's murder investigation which ultimately led to his death......(it's no more far fetched than Walt and Jessie being responsible for a plane crash)
Oh ****... Check out this cool gem. **** not a spoiler, just the finale title and a translation **** Spoiler Fe-Li-Na Iron-Lithium-Sodium Blood-Meth-Tears FeLiNa is also an anagram for "finale" Mind = blown
This monday night Conan is having every cast member and Vince Gilligan on Conan. Can't wait for this!
