You read correctly...he practiced this week. By them listing him as "out," I think Patterson's a lot better off than "questionable."

Ya that sure would be nice to see, considering where he was drafted. We carried the injury gremlin to the draft with us this year.
I am relieved. People are impatient to see Davis due to practice INTS but a real game, with an OC and smart QB will attack and expose him. He is going to give up big plays right now if pressed into action. Yes, he'll make a few too. I'd rather seem more of him as the season progresses and he has more film study and practice under his belt. Give him garbage time snaps in the 4th qtr a few times etc. I REALLY want to get Jamar on the field. He can be a difference maker, more so than Nolan Carroll (who I have a feeling will be playing boundary a bunch as guys are niicked up).
I noticed some JJ Watting style amongst our Dline last week, saw some players pausing their rush and timing their jump, I think this could also be an effective strategy against Luck, forget the big Dlineman trying to get to him, stay in your lanes somewhat by holding back a bit, and getting your arms and hands up in the lane, that way he can't get past you and will always stay in front of you, then blitz our more athletic guys.
Kids gotta learn and play sometime. I'd rather it be sooner than later and be better prepared for the 2014 season and the playoffs. And Sean Smith gave up plenty of big plays without ever making any. Best part of the offseason pre-draft was getting Smith off the damn roster. Made my week.
