In terms of pure depth and starters, I'd have to say yes. We have Odrick, Shelby and Jordan coming in off the bench! Then you add Wake, Starks, Solai and Vernon. I hope we can keep at least one of those DT's in FA. It's been fun to watch!

I honestly think we should SMOKE the Colts this week because they won't be able to handle us in the trenches (worst OLine in the league).

Eager to see this D go against an elite QB/passing game. I suspect we'll more than hold our own. Pumped about the young corners getting healthy, Jordan getting more involved. Going to be an ELITE unit. With just a small semblance of a running game, this Defense can carry us to the postseason.

To be fair he's really a tackle they had to slide over due to a rash of injuries. But yeah, he was awful and I also felt bad for him.

I also think it's the best DL in football. If that RE spot develops, it will be lethal. Ever since the Giants smashed Patriot perfection in 2007, this is what I've longed for in Miami; a brutalizing 4-man front.

I think Vernon is going to be real good. He didn't fare well yesterday, but he was also going up against arguably the best tackle in football. He did get a good push on some plays though.

I noticed that as well. Particularly the last Wake sack (I believe it was). He'd driven Thomas back and into Weeden.

He did it a few times, but usually someone else got to Weeden first. A GREAT sign.

In the Coyle PC I linked to post or two back, he practically blows OV. I think he even cupped his balls and made him a sandwich. If he had done all that and OV's laundry, i would have thought it was Heath Evans talking about Brady.

Sadly our oline might be the exact opposite and push for worst in the league. I'm not sure I've seen that before. It's going to be a strange team we field

Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for those two loads of laundry to get washed. You said you'd do it after the game yesterday. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Like I told you then, I'll do your laundry if you give me a really good patented Rocky BJâ„¢. What i received was an average patented Rocky BJâ„¢.

Chipped away at Joe Thomas all day. Opened the door for a fresh Jordan later in the game imo.

He was also blatantly held on a rush RIGHT IN FRONT of the ref and, no flag.

Oh...that was all game long...at least we won, so it doesn't seem like we'd be like, "we lost 'cuz of the refs!" They sure as hell did their part...

At least twice by my count (I mean blatant).

Not to mention Wake almost half a dozen times.

Pretty sure all that just means I have no idea what constitutes a hold, because it rarely gets called when I think it's blatantly in our favor.

I never, ever ever blame or ***** about the refs unless it's criminal because it always balances out, but Vernon got by Thomas, was hogtied and the ref was watching the whole time and did nothing.
