His character has been that way towards his family since S1E1. You're dissecting a irrelevant detail 4 episodes away from the conclusion of everything. It's pointless and you keep harping on it. So it's minute.
Because there's never been a pump malfunction before? And yes it's much more believeble then your story. Your story just leads to a million more questions, ones that Walt probably can't answer on the spot like that without sounding worse. Once again that's suppose to be the point. The writers have consistently through 5 seasons already have made Walt out to be a terrible liar when lying to his family. This isn't something new or out of character for Walt. It's happened multiple times already through the shows run. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that's been watching this show. I just don't understand how a tiny small story which ultimately will have zero to do with the show as a whole is bugging you this much. It was a bad lie and he told the story poorly, again that's the point and the purpose of it. The point was also to show Skylar sees right through him now and knows when he's lying. Hence when she calls him out about meeting Saul in the next scene in the hotel.
lol An irrelevant detail that's prompting Skylar to get in Walt's ear convincing him to kill Jesse. Sounds like you're the kind of guy who signs a lot of contracts without reading the fine print.
lol Riiiight and I'm sure you didn't cringe when he said the word, "kachung" too. Sure it is. My story leads to about 5 questions, all pretty easily answered, especially to a teenager. Again, how is this a tiny small story? Makes me think you're not watching the show. He's never told a lie anywhere near as terrible as that one. So we're supposed to believe he progressively gets worse as it as he goes through and solves all these different issues throughout the show? Doesn't make much sense.
The story itself is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if Walt said it was a comet, a gas pump or dinosaurs. The story was suppose to be bad to so that Skylar knows he's lying to her so she can suggest to Walt to get rid of Jesse. If Walt pulls off his lie and she believes it it doesn't advance the story. Again the whole point of the story was to show Skylar knows Walt is lying, not for Walt to think of a good lie and get away with it.
See my last post. It's by far the most ridiculous and flat-out dumb lie yet and it's already having big consequences. The fact that you guys really think someone could have a "pump malfunction", be soaked in gas, drive home, and then proceed to cover that much of the house in gas (bc his clothes were on the ground lol) and say that that's anywhere near believable is crazy.
Serious question, are you married? If you are then you'd know something as big as having the pool repaired without telling your wife and then the pool guys spill gas in your house causing it to smell doesn't just lead to 5 questions that are all pretty easily answered. To a teenager, sure and that's why Walt Jr. believed the story but not to a wife/husband. See my previous post as to why the small itself is small. Go back and rewatch the earlier seasons for his lies as to where he's been when he was cooking with Jesse all day or when he disappeared for a week. All his lies to his wife and family have been bad. Was this one the worst? Maybe but who cares. Skylar was SUPPOSE TO KNOW Walt was lying to her. That's the whole freaking point, so in the end who cares what the lie was.
Sometimes you don't advance the story at the sake of it suffering. See killing Mike in a situation that the character wouldn't of put himself in, just because you want the character to die for the sake of the story.
lol Dude are you serious? Are you really comparing fixing your pool and your wife and saying it'd be a big deal to people w millions of dollars?
And you really think Skylar would give a **** about fixing the pool with all this other **** going on? lol Gtfo
Bringing up the whole Mike situation again? Didn't we beat that to death already? Having millions of dollars is irrevelant in this situation. The point is anyone's wife is going to ask more than 5 easily answered questions. Plus everyone else on these boards has already disagreed with you that your story about the pool is less believeble. But anyway even people with millions of dollars would flip out if a pool crew spilt gas in their house and it made the whole house smell.
I have to say I seriously can't believe there's a debate going on about Walt's story. Talk about nitpicking things.
Why not? It's relevant to what you said about advancing the story. Oooo 3 people in the thread don't agree w me I must be wrong
Jesse has millions of dollars, how come he was listening a CD in his car instead of an iPod. It's 2013.... Especially someone like Jesse who has a sick entertainment system in his house and a robot vaccum cleaner. Seriously a CD!
In a show that relies on and is great bc of it's small details, I'm surprised I'm the only one that has a problem with it. But whatever I'm not gonna talk about it anymore bc it's a waste of time on here. I still love the show but I hope it improves.
We don't have a problem with it because it's consistent with what has happened in the previous 5 seasons. It's a great show but has flaws, no show is perfect. But you're right, to focus on something as silly as that is a waste of time.
I can't believe skylar was wearing the blue eye shadow. She really should have stuck wih green Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
lol It's funny you think that's a small detail. Just like when you thought I was dumb for suggesting Walt took on some of Gus' mannerisms and then someone posted that big article how in fact he has taken on mannerisms from everyone he's killed. Then again we don't watch the same show.
He called him out because the obvious, he feels like Walt is keeping the truth about how bad his cancer is from him. Yea he called him out, but he doesn't think hes lying something happened at the pump. Pool starts getting redone then all the sudden Walt Jr is asking why they never mentioned the pool was having issues before?
If the story was better Walter Jr wouldn't of reacted like that and blown up his spot about the cancer then either though. lol Really? Not to be mean but do you think Walt Jr is much of a swimmer? Plus he's a teenager he doesn't give a ****. And anyone who's had a pool knows it takes 1 min for things to go really really wrong haha
dude, are you listening to yourself? all I said was "no" when you asked the question almost a month ago after I had not seen the show in 6 months. how in the Dan Marino did you translate that into how I thought you were dumb and that we don't watch the same show? You should run for president.
And when they came out when the generator, they needed to bring a gas can because they ran out of gas. Wouldn't they bring the generator filled with gas? Lol
Well just got fired from work. I was late and said it was because of a pump malfunction. Didn't bye it.
