Hi, I am Samphin, I take nothing seriously and should never be taken seriously with anything I do. The reason I choose not to draft other good posters on here is because my team is a mockery at this point. Why subject other guys and gals to that?

Needless to say, i still have confidence in my team to go undefeated and mollywhop any and all comers.

 

They are the only two worthy ones. And something tells me they can roll with the punches and share in this with me.

I tells ya what I will do. Since I have offended the masses. I will let YOU decide my next draft pick. When I am on the clock. Simply PM me whoever I should pick. I will pick this person, assign them a position and do the write up. No conditions beyond that. What do you say?

 

Just a thought to help appease the masses. There's still plenty of top tier talent around, you could just switch out the joke picks for real members if agreed upon by all team owners after this round has been completed.

Honestly, I saw it as less about Samphin not respecting other posters and more about him honoring, respecting, celebrating and grieving the loss of a man whom many adire.

That said, I was slightly surprised and unsettled to see a Carlin joke this soon after his passing. Still, George Carlin would have wanted it that way and found it funny. He wasn't about political correctness (he reviled it).

Anyways, I am very sad at the loss of George Carlin, despite not always agreeing with his views. I think Samphin's intentions were positive, not negative. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Insofar as other posters go, if Sam's intentions were not to disrespect them, but to honor someone who passed, would the posters still be offended? Maybe. I don;t know.
