I have a question because I don't play fantasy basketball, but how is KD their #1 and not Bron? Taking in to account that there are a bunch of stats that go into a weekly score of a player....Again how?

IDK, KD has a higher scoring average. But Lebron gives you more assists and rebounds. I think it depends on the type of league you are running. Some do fantasy points and others do it by statistical category. Lebron is a more valuable player in the latter and KD in the former.

Fantasy is NOT real life. Typically fantasy leagues are 9 category leagues (FG%, FT%, 3's, points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers) and Durant is one of the biggest volume shooters in the league and he does it at a very good percentage from the field and line. You basically have 3 stats sealed with him (FG%, FT, and points) if you know how to draft and he contributes strongly in everything else (2.0 3's per game, 3.5apg, 8rpg and over 1 steal and 1 block per). Typically your top 3 are going to be LBJ, KD and CP3 in any year but if KD and CP3 are healthy Id honestly take either one over LBJ in fantasy. Theres not much of a debate for it either, never has been. Lebron is a great talent but his percentages (FT is average and FG% is high but not always a heavy volume) and only average contributions in 3's in fantasy matter more then his talent.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fanta...james-vs-kevin-durant-183026065--fantasy.html - Thats from last year but explains a bit more...

Shouldn't only "NOT ONE" be crossed out? You have two. So "NOT TWO" would imply 3.

This is an incredibly stupid critique, but it's the offseason, so cut me some slack.

It is mostly due to KD's FT percentage. he is pretty close to Bron in a lot of categories, but dominates him in one, so therefore, he gives you an equal or maybe better chance to win each week.

Kd dominates in 3s as well. 1 3pointer per game extra is 3-4 extra 3s per week in fantasy.

I get that, I didn't realize his avg's in some categories are that much off, I just see LBJ as doing everything very well....

Wasn't he unconscious this season for like a month and a half FG % wise....

    Not this past year.

KD made 1.7 per game at 41%
Bron made 1.4 per game at 40%

Personally, you want KD 1st because of his scoring aspect. he will score efficiently enough but will do so across the board in every category. Bron's advantage in Rebs. and Assists are not enough to offset KD's consistency in scoring and FT% as well as HOW he spreads out his scoring.

Bron scores almost exclusively via FG, while KD spreads it out via FG, 3 pt. and FT.

If you are in a league that just takes into account overall scoring and efficiency, take Bron. Bron beat KD in FG's and beat him up pretty good in FG%.

He was excelelnt from the field and Lebron closed the gap between he and Durant and CP3 this year by hitting more 3's (didnt realize he ended at 1.4 p/game). The downside to Lebron is his versatility. From a fantasy aspect it matters whether the points are coming on layups (with no and 1) or 3's. Lebron's tremendous efficiency certainly isnt harmful in real life but at times in fantasy it can be. He doesnt get to the foul line as much as durant. His scoring isnt as consistent because he has more elements to his overall game. When you think about it 4 stats (FT, FG, 3's and points) are dedicated solely to scoring in standard 9 cat leagues which is what yahoo and espn base their rankings off of. You get guys who can score effectively and efficiently you can hold your own if the rest of the team is just average. Durant started to become more versatile ending last year at 4.6 apg up from 3.1. Losing Harden actually helped his fantasy game as his FG% also went up to 51%. That shows sometimes with fantasy you have to think outside the box a little because you would never in real life feel OKC was better without James Harden but Kevin Durant actually was for fantasy purposes.

Bron, Greg Oden, Bosh, and James Jones apparently think so. They are at the arena every morning working out now.

D-Wade is working with Tim Grover (last time he did that in the offseason, he deserved to win the MVP)

Yes, my friends, #3 in a row and #4 overall is coming. But in due time. Dolphins have some Bidness to take care of.

philbin doesnt have Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. Spoelstra may as well write them christmas cards every year..."Thanks for the rings guys and for keeping me employed...without you I may or may not have a job"

I think every Heat player save Ray Allen owes Lebron a beer.

Also, the Peirce/Knicks rift continues. Somehow the Nets own the city of New York.....yaaaaawn.

You mean a coach won multiple NBA titles with elite talent????? This must have been the first time we've seen that happen.

The meeting that Stern called this past week between Prohkorov and Dolan after Prohkorov called Stern "a little man" publicly (which Dolan is) says this could be a fun year between the NYK/Nets. When team owners start trading insults, its on. :)

Im just not impressed with Spo as a coach. I dont really feel like hes on the level of Pop or Doc or JVG or any high end/elite coach.

He might not be. I don't think we're in any position to judge, though. Judging the effectiveness of a HC might be something that fans just cannot do.

I will say this. The fact that Riley likes him a lot makes me believe he is a damn good HC.

Who cares. Women aren't objects...you don't just choose the one that looks best. No-one cares about your "barely squeak out a record over .500" Brooklyn Dinosaurs. Half your team survived the last mass extinction

In all seriousness though I don't see why the 5th/6th seed has you so excited.

That chick looks super fake and gross BTW. I feel like if I ran my finger down her arm it would come off stained oompa-loompa orange.

I heard Pauly D is rapping the national anthem for the Nets home opener.

The fans MUST be so proud.

In other news, Jason Kidd has moved up the team dinners to 3:30 in the afternoon.
