I thought the same when I watched this. Ill wait until the season starts before I say he has completely regressed though. Side note. Anyone here get preseason live and own an android tablet? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4
jesus padre you have a personal goal until when you wanna crack the 100.000 ? lol...curious how it looks...lol, my goal was to be at 10.000 when the season starts but i will fail miserably...lol
Heh...I will stop when I hit 200k..it will untouchable..iirc my second closest competition has maybe 40k...
I wanted to include Derrick Shelby and Michael Egnew among my backups I want to see something from, but 1. Derrick Shelby is pretty much already on the roster. I know some writers have tried to claim he's not, but he is. I think they know what he does and I think they trust him, and at the same time I don't think they're placing him ahead of Olivier Vernon or Dion Jordan in the rotation because they're super high on both. So what's he really going to do that moves the needle? He could have another 2 sack performance and it wouldn't matter. He could get blanked, and it wouldn't matter. 2. What Michael Egnew does in any given game absolutely matters for him because he's a bubble player. However, I have a nagging feeling they're going to try and get Dustin Keller, Charles Clay and Dion Sims going a lot more tonight. I think they called Egnew's game already, called his number a bunch and he responded pretty well. Now they will want to see what Clay and Sims can do with a few more opportunities. Also I kind of want to see more out of Lee Robinson.
Lol @ the expectations of the first real preseason game... If Tannehill doesn't go 9-9 this board might riot! I won't get to see the game live, but I'm looking toward to seeing the replay for... Offense: Chad Bumphis: I'm on record being very annoyed Miami passed on a WR in the first three rounds. I hope we have a diamond in the rough with this kid. Jonas Gray: I hate Daniel Thomas... I like Jonas Gray tons. Hope he explodes tonight. Mike Wallace: just excited to see him is all. Would love a bomb on the first play just to see him fly. JMart: looking or a solid performance. Doesn't have to be Jonathon Ogden 2.0. Just be solid. Mike Gillisee: hoping he flashes a bit tonight. I don't expect too much Lamar Miller, so opportunities will be there. Michael Egnew: one of the most gifted guys on the team from a physical standpoint. If he can Find his confidence and swagger, there's no reason he couldn't be a Jimmy Graham 2.0 or us. I wantto see him play big tonight. Get nice separation and make clean catches. Block decent too lol. Keenan Davis/Marvin McNutt: If we carry 5-6 WR, it would be nice to have some big men. So please hold onto the ball... Defense: Every DE not named Cam Wake: our defense can be special... If we can get pressure. It killed us last year on 3rd downs. Some setup up. Whether its DJ, Vernon, Shelby, those wo keynon dudes with crazy last names, don't care... Someone attack the QB. Will Davis: I didn't like he pick. Wanted a WR. His camp INTs have been impressive. Considering our need at CB, he could be a godsend. Lets make it happen. Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne? They won't come any easier than tonight, my friend... Koa Misi: With our revamped LB core, I'm hoping someone stands out. Is Misi playing? I'm very curious about his role with this team going forward. Would be nice if he showed up to play. Caleb Sturgis: is he playing? If so, put the nail in the Carpenter's late game missing, 2.7 million dollar, coffin.
I dunno Pads, Jack Daniels is typically how I pass out w/ no recollection of ever having watched the game.
The first picture doesn't load for me but what's ironic about the second picture is that Jon Martin had a rep against Kyle Wilber that was exactly like that (although I would have to see the full play to know if Sam Bradford also got the ball off in less than 2.0 seconds as Tannehill did) and pretty much universally I have seen that play overlooked by people defending Martin. It was a non-event, according to them. But with Jake Long (who was going against Jabaal Sheard, not Kyle Wilber) it's evidence that he's a crummy left tackle.
It must be hard to build that core strength when you're rehabbing injuries every off season. He's had them in his upper and lower body too. Might be struggling with various strength imbalances too, as a result.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. #97 is Jabaal Sheard, who faces Joe Thomas quite a bit in practice, so a declining Long was probably something he was salivating over. Weird as Thomas and Long are the same age and Thomas is still on top of his game.
Budweiser bud.. Biggest misconception about barbecuing, it is the secret to losing weight with incredible flavor...as long as you have a fire/grill, good cuts of meant, you can create flavor on that meat with smoke and spices and a good barbeque sauce, people think oh barbeque is so fattening", no that's incorrect, pork chops, trimmed well brisket, pulled pork shoulder, chicken thighs, ham, turkey smoked fish, and a delicious barbeque sauce, I can get you lean...it's all about what your combining with that barbeque that makes the difference...do not combine a 2nd fat when your eating a protein that has some fat in it. Austin gratin potatoes, well I'm not gonna give you a low fat version because there are some foods made to eat properly. You need a mandolin cutter, Get some good Yukon and some sweet potatoes, slice them about 1/4 thick.. Chop up an onion and some garlic, 1 whole onion, 3 cloves of garlic, sauté in olive oil to you get some of that good caramelization you know about, salt and pepper once it's cooked in the pan, then I want you to add some heavy cream to that mixture, and a half a stick of butter, get that nice and simmered, add some fresh nutmeg to that, then add some cheeses, a Gouda and a sharp cheddar is good, maybe a little good parm..get that all melted nicely on low, once you've sliced your potatoes, butter your glass baking dish all over, add couple layers of your potatoes, then some of your sauce, repeat to you get to the top, cover the top with remaining cheese..put in the oven with foil, once it's close to down, about 25 mins, remove foil and let cheese crisp up.
the thing is if you look on a st.louis message board, the all say long played a good game...lol, they are like us
It's the fact that Jake's only weakness used to be the outside wide speed rusher. But in both of these he's just getting outright bullied head to head in a bull rush. That's not the Jake I remember from his first 3 seasons.
Yeah that's BS, I counted four plays in his limited reps where he got his *** handed to him..put on the fu&$in ground.
Slightly off topic but someone put up a link here for preseason at 14.99 with a promo code. Anyone have a link to the thread that was in? Thanks in advance.
What 68 said.. Here's the link to the thread http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?77476-NFL-Preseason-Live-14-99
Yet I've seen something like four or five detailed dissections of Jon Martin's 6 pass snaps against Kyle Wilber and not a single one of them (including your own) noted Wilber putting Martin on the ground...until I pointed it out. Weird.
I love this package for $14.99. Tonight I'll be watching/listening to my boys, while seeing the Jests and Patsies at the same time. Well worth my 15 bucks!
We're thinking of different plays from the HOF game. The one I'm talking about that was exactly like the one from the Rams game that you're isolating was the 3rd & 3 that Tannehill completed to Brandon Gibson. And the reason I compared them was because in the first GIF you posted of the Jake Long play, you can see that Sheard is pretty close to Sam Bradford's body by the time Sam releases the ball, and is maybe less than a second away from getting hands on Bradford or pressuring him. On the 3rd & 3 play from the Hall of Fame game, similarly Kyle Wilber pushes Jon Martin all the way back to within arm's length of Tannehill, but Tannehill got the ball off in less than 2.0 seconds before Wilber could shoot out an arm and hit him or pressure him.
that's a different one btw than the first that Med giffed, there also another two, all in the first 20 mins of play...don't know wtf those rams fans are talking bout.
You've talked about Jake Long getting put on his butt. Well, Jon Martin got put on his butt by Kyle Wilber...and when you did a dissection of Martin's play, you didn't even note it. I had to point it out to you. I'm just saying it comes off looking like motivation is an issue.
first of all I noted the one play where Martin got beat, 2nd, jake got his *** handed to him four times in one quarter to a degree that was much worse then martins one bad rep.
And fourth, I didnt want to draft Jon Martin so why the hell would I want to purposely boost him up, I had to tell you and others the guy was tremendously overrated.
You're getting upset but you don't have to. I have a valid point. You keep talking down Jake Long's performance by talking about him getting put on his butt. But when you did a dissection of Jon Martin's performance you didn't note him getting put on his butt, I had to point it out to you. One plays for the Dolphins and one spurned the Dolphins. That would be the source of potential bias, if there is any. Nothing to do with whether you liked a guy coming out or not. And by the way, that's not the play I'm talking about. That 7th play is the screen pass I believe.
I find it fascinating that a player of jakes caliber got his *** handed to him in such a vile manner multiple times, literally stomped on, Martin had no such thing happen to him, and whatever play it was where he got beat, it was not to the degree of Jakes poor attempts.. Are you high man, of course I'm going to point out when a player who spurned us gets his *** handed to him on four occasions in one quarter.. Martin had one bad rep..do you want me to completely go off on him when his other reps were respectable to good.i don't think so, I think your off. Both reports were accurately described.
