Spurs renounce qualifying offer to Gary Neal. Being reported that the Heat are very interested.

Move the needle? a little I would say. Interesting.

Would be a great signing. Miller replacement and Wade spotter.

Wow that would be a coup. I love Gary Neal. He's perfect bench energy and scoring. For all that Danny Green got the headlines in the Finals for how he was killing the Heat with three pointers, I thought Gary Neal was more dangerous to them. The threes that Danny Green was making, the Heat could step up their defense and prevent him from getting such clean looks all the time. Gary Neal was dropping bombs from like 10 feet behind the arc with hands in his face and then scoring in other ways. I thought the Spurs blew an opportunity to adjust a little bit during the series by using Neal more actively as a pure scorer.

I would be all over that dude. He's still arrow-up even at 29 years old. I kept comparing Ian Clark to Gary Neal in the Summer Leagues and saying that's one of the reasons I like him. Well, now you have to think...we can mess with the wannabe Gary Neal who hasn't proven himself in real NBA minutes yet...or we can mess with the real Gary Neal.

Of course the sobering question is, why would a Gary Neal that is still looking to establish himself want to play on a Heat team that will give him even fewer minutes than he got in San Antonio? The championship allure is strong of course...but for a 6th man that is still looking to establish himself, maybe not strong enough.

He can play point in a pinch as well, which makes him nice Wario or "Bad Cole" insurance, as those guys pop up every so often.

Signing Neal could also allow you to limit Ray Allen's minutes in the regular season and make sure he is fresh for money time.

If we had to choose, I'd much rather sign Neal than Oden. Small ball works when Wade is (relatively) healthy. Neal would help with that

I agree with Neal over Oden though my reasoning is more health centered. Either would be a great addition if healthy.

Thats cute. If by annihilate you mean win 1-2 games then yes. Otherwise go back to Buffalo, land of obscure second rate sports teams. :)

Again it's weird but I agree. I don't see the Nets making any team except the Bobcats/Hornets of the NBA look bad. Everyone else is going to beat them so badly in transition their half court sets won't matter very much. Aside from that...as I said their half court defense will also be pretty putrid IMO.

Its funny how we're getting team's 3 pt. specialist castoffs. First Mike Miller, then Ray Allen, now perhaps Gary Neal? Riley=Genius.

Off realgms heat section. A couple of kids met them after they snapped the photo. Apparently they asked oden if he was signing here and he replied "we'll see" while smiling. Means nothing, probably.

Heat ring ceremony and banner raising vs. Bulls on Oct. 29th.

Scumbag move: Making the The back to back champs play at LA on Christmas Day. This is irregular to say the least.

You see it as a scumbag move. I see it as an opportunity to launch my cologne line.

Hear me out now. I've been hooking up with Lebron James to make a cologne line known as "HGH: Haters Gonna Hate". Each cologne is made up of tears from different people. I collected the tears from Cleveland fans, Skip Bayless, New York Knicks, Skip Bayless, and Jason Terry. Thing is, I'm going to have to get that last sample again. The tears I had from Jason Terry got confiscated as evidence when they tried to charge Lebron James with aggravated assault, attempted murder, pain & suffering, emotional distress, and defamation of character.

Point is, all I need are LA Fans' tears, and I can launch it in the spring.

Blatant scheduling disrespect. Not only do we have to play on the road but its against a garbage Lakers team that nonetheless means we will be forced to endure days if "LBJ to LA" talk culminating with Staples dirtbags cheering for LeBron, holding signs begging him to come, etc.

On phone so no link from me.....but it appears D Rose has gotten his exceptional ego back, claiming HE is the best player in the NBA.

Guy doesn't get enough credit for being a d@ckbag as he should.

By the way Mike Miller officially back with the Memphis Grizzlies.

For some reason that seems a little scarier to me than the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Remember the rumor I posted about LeBron being involved with this Biogenesis Clinic?? Considering the pretty concrete evidence they have on the the baseball players lets hope IF (I capitalized it for you guys who are about to bash me) he was he isnt as stupid as the baseball players were.

Section any whispers going on down there? Might be a story The Bang could run with....just saying...

I wish these leagues would be a bit more progressive with their thinking and look at the PEDs in different ways. There is a difference between an anabolic steroid, or amphetamine based one that sprinters get caught with that are solely to make you unnaturally strong or fractions of a second faster and something like HGH which actually has legitimate medical uses.

HGH really is more about injury recovery and an ability to work harder and longer without the body breaking down. I don't really see that as a PED in the classic sense. For example, Wade's deep bone bruise which clearly hindered his ability to play at his normal level is exactly the type of cellular injury that could have been sped up by doctor prescribed and monitored HGH use.

Why shouldn't he be allowed to use it? He's not trying to make himself better than he is. He simply was trying to play at his normal level.
