The 2013 Yankees are pretty much the 2012 Red Sox. In fact, I pretty much can go back and edit any post made by anyone about the Sox last year and simply put a Yankee player in it and no one would blink an eye or notice the difference.

This is worse, these are actual real problems, unlike made up chicken and beer bs by the Boston media.....

so A) he has cut off talking to Cashman, and B) he is still circumventing the team and C) this is real ugly at this point....

Eh I think Bobby Valentine was a big problem in the clubhouse last year as were a few players too. Of course it didn't help that the team stunk.

I don't think the Yankees are 100% innocent in this situation though. Yes it seems like Arod is the bad guy, and most likely probably is, however I think there's a huge disconnect between the organization and him. It sure seems like Arod doesn't trust many people in that organization for some reason and I'm sure the Yankees aren't going out of their way to make him feel welcome either.

Bottom line is they all need to get on the same page for the best of the franchise. It's clear Arod isn't quitting anytime soon and unless the Yankees simply release him he's going to be there for 5 more years. They just have to learn how to deal with each other and try and move forward.

I think that is impossible at this point, while I agree that the Yanks arent 100% I do believe this is more on A-Rod. All of sudden none of their players trusts the Yankees, their doctors, and the front office?? I dont buy that, what is simple is this, they dont want him and he wants money.

I have be saying it all along that the Yanks and him need to come to an agreement on a buyout....they cut him a check, and he walks away...it is that simple, you really think A-Rod is interested in playing for a championship?

Yes, why would you not think that? Because the guy makes a lot of money? Arod, whether he performs or not, always is on the field if he is physically able too. Have you ever heard/read a story about him dogging any injury or asking out of a game like someone like Manny Ramirez for example has?

I posted this in the NBA forum a few months ago about how there was a rumor out there that LeBron was involved with this Clinic, obviously this being a huge Heat site as well it was met with quick dismissal.....

All I am going to say is this, given the evidence they have on Braun, A-Rod and Co.....I wouldn't be panicked, but I would be mildly concerned......

No you are right, but again he isnt dealing with reality here....he thinks he is playing for a championship this year, when in reality at the very least he is suspended alla Braun for the rest of this year meaning he wont be playing for anything.....

He is in it for the money solely, that is his motivating factor to get on the field at this point....he is trying to eff the Yanks as much as they are trying to eff A-Rod....this is pretty awesome stuff and it makes for good TV...

Besides Fink who wants to watch them anyway!!

So just because the Yankees might not make the playoffs means he should play? Anything that has to do with Biogensis and him is still up in the air, who knows if/when and for how long he will be suspended, if he is will he accept, cut a deal or fight it so right now it's all speculation.

I still don't understand how or why people think Arod is trying to stick it to the Yankees by trying to play this year. It seems like people have this crazy fantasy that if he doesn't play this year that he'll go away forever and the Yankees will be free from his contract. That's not the case.

Forget about the whole PED mess he's in and all the outside doctor nonsense, what's the difference between Arod rehabbing an injury and trying to get back on the field to play and Jeter rehabbing an injury and trying to get back on the field to play?

Hiring a doctor and having this conversation with a person whom he has never met is nonsense? He isnt trying to circumvent the organizational structure after being told 2X now what he is doing is wrong? All this after HE was the one who originally went to the team requesting one?

At this point I hope they do screw with him because he is being a douchebag you cant do something then claim you are good and never had an injury, it doesn't work that way unless you have other motives. He supposedly has an MRI showing he has the same injury as Jeter, you cant come back that quick from it...2 days? Is he on PED's again?

As Lupica that goonball said, if A-Rod feels the way he does, file a grievance with the union then....

As we speak A-Rod, his lawyer, Cashman, and Levin are on a conference call...

Feinsand is coming on in a few....supposedly it is about whether the Yankees are activating him tomorrow....

Nonsense in the sense that it's an outside distraction. Again ignoring all the off the field drama what's the difference between Arod and Jeter both rehabbing and trying to get back on the field to play?

Nothing.....but you have to rehab it and it takes time....2-3 weeks to come back from that...not 2-3 days....

This is what Feinsand said happened in that call....

-Took place between Cash, Levin, Dr and PT down in Tampa, A-Rod, Atty
-They examined him today in Tampa
-the Dr. and the PT guys down there agreed with the initial diagnosis of the team Dr. in NY, Grade 1 strain, getting better....
-he is going to rehab it in Tampa and be sent to Single A ball on August 1st for another rehab stint
-got an extension from MLB to continue to rehab
-probably won't see him until August 5th
-A-Rod said in the conference call that he was ON BOARD with the rehab (so we will see if he continues his PR campaign)

A-Rod bagged himself requesting and getting another MRI.....

See this is where the media makes and blows things out of proportion......

Feinsand specifically asked Cashman if they were going to discipline him for violating team rules again, and he said Cashman said directly to him "No comment, we aren't going to discuss internal matters".......so that turns into this?

7 times this year Kuroda pitched 7 innings giving up 0 runs. Zero! 12 times in two years. Underrated.

Also Kenny singleton was talking about why MLB got rid of the statistic of Game winning RBIs but they cut it off... Anyone know what he said

I have a feeling A-Rod when he is done with baseball is going to duck his head for a long time.....

If he steps into the batters box right now in NY, does he get more boo's or applauds? being honest here all the stuff I see from fans is generally 50/50.....it would be interesting to see...I was toying with the idea of buying tickets for tomorrows game if they activated him...

If you think about it, Mo would have a lot less saves this season if they could actually hit. They wouldn't need him as much. Shows you how much valuable he is this year

The circus continues, anyone else hear Arod's interview with Mike Francesa? I'm sure it didn't make the Yankees' FO happy. Seriously though if Arod can play, he should just file a grievance already and get it over with. This story is just so freaking bizarre and gets stranger and stranger by the minute.

I read a stat last night that if the Yankees get Soriano they will have 15 guys on their roster making 15 million or more per year while the rest of the AL only has 12.

EDIT: It will be 9 players making 15 million not 15 players.

I heard it, it wasn't a good PR move on his part.....you hear the response when asked if he trusts the Yankees?? Pretty telling....he said he is frustrated but on board with the rehab and isnt filing a grievance...why?

right now the deal out there is the Cubs are paying over half of the remaining contract, so he is getting paid 18 next year and about a 1/3 left of the 18 this year so around 6.5 call it? it is about 24-26M left at which point the Yankees should pay around 10-12M which I am sure they will choose to pay 6-8M of it this year.....you could see them pay 4-6 for him next year (189)....It is stupid, and but it is essentially a 1 yr deal....

My point is why? The Yankees need to hit the re-set button, this move just doesn't make sense....they simply aren't realistically competing for a few years....I don't know maybe it is a ploy to put a few asses in the seat?? Sori is highly thought of in NY, I loved the guy before he got trade ironically for A-Rod....

Francesa told it like it is, it's obvious the Yankees don't want Arod back and think for some reason if Arod doesn't play this year and gets suspended then they can try to void his contract. I do think there's a little truth to it. Again I don't think the Yankees are 100% innocent in this but of course, like always, Arod is the one looking like a fool. He should just file and get it over with.

Yeah I don't get the Soriano deal either, obviously he's an upgrade over Vernon Wells and the Yankees are still in the playoff hunt but the Yankees just continue to get older and older. Might as well go after Barry Zito next.

If he doesn't file a grievance it is also pretty telling....there is some truth to the team fining him though on this 2nd doctor thing.....they aren't going to be able to void his contract it is impossible, they don't want him to play this year because insurance does kick in at 80% of the rest of the contract, it is an option but I think they want to work a deal where they put him on the PUP list and cut him a check in a buyout settlement and last is the nuclear option where if none of that works, they are going to outright release him....

On another note, who was ragging on CJ Wilson some months ago? Seems like he is having a pretty damn good year no?
