This Russian dude is real stupid if he thinks that getting the Celts NYC edition is bringing him a championship....Garnett's heart isn't into this and he is old, Terry is bench fodder, Pierce isnt enough and can't play defense...I think the expectation is a little too high there....

 

My huge problem with the Nets was their offense had no spark and was plodding and SLOW. Garnett and Pierce will improve this how? This team is still in the middle of the pack for the East.

Props for acknowledging that Lebron and Carmelo aren't likely to suddenly find a move to Los Angeles attractive.

A few negative points for including Dwyane Wade among the second tier guys they could go after. Chris Bosh, maybe. Dwyane Wade? I don't think so.

 

Forget Chris Bosh as well. He along with Wade have both said they want to end their careers here.

 

Serious question, if Bron somehow opts out where do you think the Heat would be in 2015 as far as the East goes with Wade/Bosh.

I would love to see Camby in a Heat uniform just cause I love that guy as a player. Drew Gooden would be an infinitely better signing but Camby is the man. Mo Williams on the Heat would be incredible though... definitely would have the PG on lockdown with him, Rio, and the flat top.

 

Well Bron + Kyrie + ?Bynum? Is probably still the best in the East in that scenario.

Miami would have a lot more variability because we would be widely tied to Wade although Bosh could flesh out his game a lot more as well. I would assume the Heat would probably try to pick up a decent big in this scenario. I think Cleveland would be best in the east with Chicago, Indiana, and Miami bunched behind and then NY and then Brooklyn. If Wade's knees act up then flip NY over Miami.

 

You're also assuming Bynum is healthy which is 1000% less likely than Wade being healthy.

Why do you think there was a question mark before and after? Putting Lebron anywhere means that team is part of the conversation regardless of what the other parts are.

 

Definitely not debating that fact. I'm just saying an unhealthy Bynum makes it a lot less likely that Lebron would even end up there IMO.

 

in first place, because they would gain cap space to sign Paul George or even..dare I say..Carmelo Anthony. Afterall..it's still Miami and Pat Riley.

realistically..they would still be right there as favorites in the east..but underdogs against at least 3 WC teams..but it opens up the east a bit.

 

That's beside the point though. For the purposes of this hypothetical Lebron is already in Cleveland so debating whether or not he'd find it attractive there is pointless.

Bosh n Wade 2 years from now would be about as effective as Peirce and Garnett of THIS year. 6-7 seed.

The facts remain...wade, bosh and any all-star forward is still the best three in the nba

 

Anyway, point remains..wade with nobody was a 5th seed. So of course, wade, bosh and a allstar would be a 6th or 7th seed.

I think Bosh would assert himself more offensively, the way he does when Wade/Bron don't play. It would depend on the health of Wades knees but there is nothing structurally wrong (unlike Bynum) so there is no reason to project he wouldn't be healthy.

 

Dont forget...Bosh beat the Spurs by himself this year.
