Is he a worse passer now than he was then? Did he make all those plays with athleticism that never existed?

    1. Razor thin at corner even tough they have Aqib Talib, Kyle Arrington (who btw has tallied 3008 snaps the last 3 seasons), Alfonzo Dennard, Ras-I Dowling and Logan Ryan? I'm not nit picking or being argumentative, this is a claim I just don't get. Corner DEPTH is a strength for that team, one I would single out as a positive 10 times out of 10.

    2. I don't know about couning "heavily" on Adrian Wilson. That implies they don't have safety depth either. But Steve Gregory has played nearly 1700 snaps the past two years, including 900+ with the Patriots last year. And last year's 2nd round pick Tavon Wilson played 500 snaps a year ago. They have a 3rd round pick this year, too...Duron Haron. Combine that with the guy you mentioned McCourty, and I'm not sure what you mean when you say they're have to count heavily on Adrian Wilson.

    3. They released Brandon Deaderick. I'm not sure what your point is with the depth guys you name. You are correct, those are indeed their depth guys. In addition to Marcus Benard who I feel is worth pointing out. Are you implying something about them?

Since a lot of the points being discussed are buried and hard to track, figured I'd link to this thread...from Reddit...good compilation of the case against him thus far. I take no credit or responsibility for the information compiled, just linking it:

    http://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1h6euh/full_account_of_the_evidence_against_hernandez/

The casing in the rental car definitely cant be working in his favor. Same with the texts from the victim. The blue cotton candy bubbalicious part is kind of amusing as well, but I didn't really see the point of including it, unless to link him to the people in the car at the time? Amusing in a dark humor kind of way, at least.

Remember 2010 when the Pats dumped Randy Moss and had only Welker, Branch, Tate, Edelman, a rookie Gronk, Alge Crumpler who took more snaps than rookie Hernandez? I remember the storyline that year. They were getting rid of Moss because that would force the Patriots to spread the ball around and put the onus back on Brady to make great decisions and distribute within the offense rather than keep trying to throw it to Moss and count on him to make a play. Many of us scoffed at that line of thinking. Myself included. Tom Brady threw for 4200 yards, 38 TDs and 5 INTs, a 109.2 rating and they won 14 games.

I for one get tired of scoffing at a team that goes on to kick us in the dick twice a year.

Judge smacking down the petition for bail. Facts of the case way too heinous to conscience releasing him to the community.

After reading the thread on /r/nfl, I had to look this up: Bernard Pollard was the last person to tackle A-a-ron. We should have given Pollard whatever he wanted to come here.

His attorney argued that even though it is rare for a person charged with murder to be granted bail, he has been part of several cases where his clients have been given bail, and the reason it's rare to be given bail is that most murder defendants have criminal records, no ties to the community, are flight risks, can easily go underground and blend into the woodwork. He says Aaron Hernandez is a rare case, he has no criminal record, he's a high profile name, a home owner, lives with his fiancee and baby in that home, and therefore since he's not a typical murder defendant he doesn't necessarily need to be held without bail as would be typical.

Judge just disagreed immediately. Couldn't speak to his experiences or the facts surrounding his previous cases, appreciates that the attorney brought up some unique aspects of his client's background, but said ultimately this is a 1st degree murder charge and the facts of the case do not lend themselves toward some kind of heated moment, or perhaps a defense plea, etc...the facts as laid out by the prosecution, if they're to be believed by a jury, outline the defendant either alone or with two accomplices whom HE called to his aid, picked up a man and drove him out to a place and murdered him in cold blood because he felt he disrespected him. She said obviously this is not a person that abides by societal rules, and she can't imagine releasing him back out to the community at large even with an ankle bracelet, because he's a risk to do more harm to the community and he also has the means to try and flee.

I'd say the defending attorney had about a 0.0001% chance of being granted bail in the first place, but the judge made it pretty clear that there was no way in hell that was happening.

At first no CK he didn't when he got picked up in Dochester, but it must have became apparent to him as they got to the industrial park cuz he also texted to his sister "you saw who I left with right?", THEN he texted "NFL" when his sister didn't reply (her phone died) then "NFL" again....then gunshots....

Sad..........man for Lloyd imagine knowing you are going to die when you didnt think you were....crazy....

According to that video just now they picked him up in Dochester which is in Boston, then drove to this industrial park in N Attleboro which is 45-50 mins away.....

I didn't hear a word on where they actually shot him....we know it wasn't in the rental car, I wonder how they got him out of the car....pull out the gun and force him out? Ugh....

the other side of the story, hopefully Hernandez gets life and his fiancee takes his 8-month old baby (assuming the baby is hers) and takes all of his money and disappears and keeps the kid far away from the scumbag. but somehow, I doubt it.

maybe he thought he was just gonna receive an ***-kicking for talking smack about Hernandez behind his back. Appears obvious he knew he had done something to Hernandez or else he wouldn't have felt inclined to send those texts. He was likely manning up to take his lumps but probably wasn't expecting to lose his life b/c his actions certainly don't match the severity of the punishment- death. Seems Hernandez snapped and took out his built up feelings of "not being able to trust anyone" all on Lloyd.

Wow, friggin judge even thinks he did it in premeditated cold blood fashion and is afraid to release him to the public.

Wonder how tough it'll be to find an objective jury for this one.

I looked at it too. At first I thought the last play Hernandez had the ball was the one where he was combo tackled by Pollard and Cary Williams...and I thought MAYBE that's stretching it a bit. But no. Second to last play of the game, 11 yard pass to Hernandez, tackled by Bernard Pollard. Last play of the game? Interception.

    His powers are growing.

Maybe Lloyd knew something about the previous murders and was running his mouth about them. That would certainly qualify for Hernandez feeling jilted in the trust department. As it is the motive of murdering Lloyd for talking to Hernandez's associates about him seems pretty weak until you try to think about what Lloyd could've actually been talking about to make Hernandez want to kill him.

EDIT: just saw above that's the running theory.

It sounded to me essentially like Odin realized something was up and tried to get out of the car and run away, was shot three times as he exited the car, then twice more from above execution style by Hernandez who got out of the car and put two in his chest as Odin raised his hand.

The Town was an exceptionally great movie IMO. Especially the uncut version. I watched both and felt the extra 30 minutes of footage made for a better movie. I agree that Ben Affleck is a great young director. I like him as an actor and writer too. His co writing of Good Will Hunting was the first thing that he got a lot of critical acclaim for as I recall.

Gronk was indeed "pretty good" as a rookie. But he wasn't the best tight end in the league, or even close to it, until his second year. He mostly stood out as a blocker.
