Yanks maybe? there is no way the hate for the pats across this country was even slightly comparable for the national hate of the heat. also don't see the relevance of your statement.... Don't need to be graceful winners when the whole country wants you to lose :P
As an outsider I can say I don't think it is nearly as bad as some of you want to believe. For every negative announcer/expert there are 5 pro Heat ones. I can count on one hand how many of these so called experts picked against Miami in the series.
Btw, espn has done 6 lead segments on trading bosh.......today. Done it on every single show they air. Yep...no hate here.
Why is that "hate"?? Dude just layed an egg in game 7 and makes crazy $$, if they can extract value for the future why not trade him? And even if you you as a fan would prefer to keep him, doesn't mean anyone who disagrees is "hating". I'm sure Pat will make the right move and none of you should question that man.
Since when do the announcers represent the entire country? Even that ESPN Poll for winner of the finals was hilariously hateful.
It doesn't. but now you're comparing the opinions of~10 analysts to a vote that had like a 400,000 sample size ...
Its not hate, obviously. Thats just the "hot" term to call it now-a-days when the media discusses your team in a way that you as a fan disapproves of. How could it be called "hate" when the sole objective of that Bosh conversation on ESPN is to find a way to make Miami better? Hate indeed.
The medias intention is to always talk about how to make the heat better, I agree. It's not to stir up some BS the DAY AFTER a repeat or anything..... of course.
The medias intention is to make money and names for themselves, not to deliberately down talk a specific team. But please carry on.
An analyst isn't going to be too concerned with how much money ESPN or a station is making. They're going to get their salary regardless.
I get what you are saying but you also have to remember that *** kissers who push the station agenda or even just get good ratings on their segments by spewing BS probably get better raises and in turn more $$.
Exactly, one of the reasons Mike 'n' Mike are unbearable for me personally. They refuse to say anything controversial and basically are tools. Atleast Cowherd will state his own opinion from time to time.
I am well-aware... I work in television. The station agenda is to bring in good ratings by any means necessary. If it takes adding a charismatic team of idiots, they'll do so... see Charles Barkley and Co.
. He did not lay an egg. The guy made stop after stop in the 4th Brsides..there is no game 7 without him in game 6
Bull****. The medias job is to pander. Everybody outside of miami, hates this team with a passion. they are merely giving them what they want.
Ah Sect, you've seen the elephant, as if Bayless et al did not know they were being absurd when they went in on the Heat..it wasn't the point. Bright guy named Tim Ferris pointed out all you need is 800 or more real fans and you can do anything on the internet..they'll argue all day long with those that disagree..and of course generate revenues. How many people pay attention to Bayless now that wouldn't have bothered with his nonsense..unless he knows how to generate the coin of the realm..reaction?
Man I'm fairly involved in the NBA blogging community and they LOVED the Heat this year. The national media was all over how great they were. The hate was VERY REAL the first year, maybe 2. But after y'all won a ring last year, it died out. People were all over the Heat this year. Edit: 14 of 18 ESPN "experts" picks the Heat.
I'm trying to figure out a way where the dolphin culture gets help from the heat success, or does this take fans away from the dolphins?? It's pretty much a heat town now, especially with the youth..
Not the same, they can "pick" whomever they shall, however the day to day coverage, when the team was down amounted to "they are down a game, this team is underachieving! what a disappointment!" And one could see the "will they trade Bosh" line of thought from a mile away Next it will be "Dwayne Wade is washed up!" And sorry Sect, objectively, Bosh did lay an egg in gm #7..-0- points? -0-? Gm 7? That is not greatness, as I've repeated over and over, big time players make big time plays, not lay goose eggs. Granted, they won a title..however Bosh when he sobers up, should look in the mirror..did Worthy ever lay a -0- in a gm 7? Pippen? Even Robert Horry managed to show up in the scorers' box when it counted.
This thread is now about Pat Riley trading back into the draft to ensure that the next generation of Hardaway stays in Miami.

I'll just leave this here not sure what to say about that one lebron lmao http://instagram.com/p/a1qDuViTBw/#
Well lets keep things in perspective here. Yeah Bosh went scoreless, but he only shot 5 times. It's not like he shot the ball 15 times and missed them all. It was clear he was not in the offensive gameplan for game 7 and his offensive prospects took a further hit when it became clear Wade and Lebron had the hot hand for the night. It was not his best game by any stretch of the imagination, but i suspect he did what the team expected from him according to the gameplan.
I think Tim Duncan's age was stoping him more than any one player..I mean he was WIDE OPEN and missed a layup that ties the game. Ridiculous. Even I don't hate the Heat with a passion?? Now most of their fans?? Ehhhh.. No your not. Your a Heat homer 1st everything else second. It's like the old saying "you can lay 10,000 bricks, but suck one ---- and your a ----sucker NOT a bricklayer. That rebound was one of many events that allowed a game 7, MANY. The way Green shot the last two games, I say that shot falls about 42% of the time. But make no mistake, it was a fantastic play by Bosh. A very real opinion of Bosh is he made some outstanding plays in spots, but truth be told he had a bad 2013 playoffs...Atleast no where near what you expect out of the highest paid player on your team. He IS a key piece to the pie, but too pretend he didnt look expandable the past 2 months is a little naive.
I think Juwan Howard retires his 2013 championship suit. Probably gonna go shopping for a new one. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk HD
