Rookie Qb, youngest team in the league, way to hold grudges dolphin fan, your really making a positive impact on your team with your hurt feelings.

My only point is that it seems foolish to scoff at the idea of the Titans being a potential road block in the AFC considering they beat us 37-3 in our own stadium. You clearly place the blame for that on the crowd, which is not something I'm ever going to agree with (especially since there were 60,165 in paid attendance), but the fact of the matter is not only were they a road block that day, they were a pretty damn significant one.

I wasn't dismissing your point about the titans, they kicked our ***, I was merely stating that when you lose 37 to 3 at home against a non playoff team, there might be more issues then meets the eye.

Could be the result of the randomness that occurs around the league. Could be that the team was distracted by something. Could be that the Titans, while not necessarily a good team across a 16 game schedule, are just somehow built in a way that stumps this team, the way it is built...some kind of idiosyncratic weakness. Either way I'm going back to the point I was making to Aqua when I brought them up originally which was that if you look at that roster, there's enough talent there to lend weight to their having dusted us on our own turf, suggesting that they're more of a road block for us in the AFC than some people here are thinking. At the very least, based on the talent on their roster, the talent on ours, and what happened in Week 10, if the Dolphins were traveling on the road to Tennessee in Week 1 does anyone here believe Miami would be favored? I think not.

I agree that they were distracted, were a very poor home team, I don't believe it's an act of randomness, more of a mindset, but I digress.

As far as the titans, talented offense, without consistency and a lack of accuracy at the Qb position, at their stadium (which provides a real home field advantage because of how it's built) I'd say they'd be 2 point favorites?

You realize you're referring to the all time leader in 4th quarter/overtime comeback wins right?

EDIT: I feel like I'm reading Skip Bayless right now. This is the same (lack of) logic that allowed Skip to both proclaim LeBron isn't clutch and he'd take Tebow because he's a winner.

What's funny is how these hall of fame caliber quarterbacks are being chided for losing to other hall of fame caliber quarterbacks in the playoffs. This is such a quarterback driven league that these guys are going to end up meeting in the playoffs and someone's always going to lose at the hands of another one.

    THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

I think Lebron has learned to be a better player in close situations, which means I think up until a certain point he had some weakness in that area..the division between people was because ones that thought Lebron wasn't clutch gave no room that he might improve in that area..

I think what most people don't realize is that in those situations, how you perform is going to be dependent on the tropical storm of different variables that guide how everything else goes during a game and the only difference is that the importance is magnified and peoples' perceptions change from understanding the give-and-take to only understanding give, not understanding take in any way, shape or form. I remember an interview with Tom Brady and at the time he had this bullet proof reputation for being clutch in some of those situations and various announcers and hot-air machines used to say "Tom Brady LOVES these situations" etc. They asked Tom Brady to comment and he said he HATES those situations, with a passion, because anything could happen. He doesn't want to be in those situations, ever. That about says it all.

How about when you lose 37-3 to the team with the WORST points per game defense in the league? I mean damn, they only allowed 3 to Miami, what in Vaseline-free sodomy was happening to them the rest of the season?

Miami was 7th best in PPG, FYI. Were the Titans an offensive powerhouse? Judging from their 26th ranked scoring offense I'd say no. In fact they scored 17 points above their average, while allowing 26 pts below their average. Meanwhile we scored 15 points below average and allowed 17 points above average.

I admit I'm not all that intelligent so maybe I'm off when I call that a bad game for Miami and a great game for Tennesee. Smart guys might call it an outlier. I suppose the really smart, like the smarter than everyone else guys, might call it proof of something that lesser minds like me cant comprehend.

LOL you could say this for any individual player. Every player is statistically a loser if you want to reach that level of granularity.

Just to reiterate My point, those titans with that Qb, are not 37 to 3 better than us, on a nuetral field if you wanna say there were some random circumstances then ok, but when your at home, and your good defense is getting lit up by a below average Qb, you might wanna look at some circumstances beyond what happens between the lines..like energy, motivation, and then try to figure out why your team has no energy or motivation playing at home, hmmmmm.

Anybody that attacks another poster will have their post deleted. Shame on you for trying to characterize it any other way.

If someone has the opinion that Ryan Tannehill is the worst QB in the NFL, thats their right, and they should freely express their opinion. Their opinion should never warrant a personal attack.

We're talking about road blocks in the AFC. You scoffed at the notion that a team that has a pretty good roster and beat us 37-3 at home when we played this year could end up a road block for the Dolphins in the AFC. Clearly that was a ridiculous sentiment. No sarcasm there. Just truth.

    You're explaining the obvious man.

Unless of course Kevin Kolb's victory over Tom Brady is indicative of his superiority as a QB. Or perhaps Tannehill is better than Mr Top 100 Russell Wilson, didn't he "beat" him?

And we all saw how Bradford handed it to Kaepernick, Sanchez stomped Bradford, Wilson beat Rodgers, Sanchez thrashed Luck, Luck downed Rodgers, Batch beat Flacco, Flacco beat Manning and Brady, and so on and so on. But no one's gonna harp on those outliers.

Well maybe some people, people who like to piss on the enthusiasm of others.

I understand what your saying, basically, regression to the mean, however, I do believe there is something to be said for how a player responds in conflict situations, hi pressure situations, some get shaky, some get calm..

It's pretty entertaining how no matter how many times some people have their posts deleted for personal attacks and off topic stuff, they pretty much can't leave it alone and have to take whatever shots they think they can get away with, thinly veiled or not. It's as if it is literally impossible for a person to NOT take a public swipe at someone, they MUST write something that others can see that is clearly trying to attack and insult another person...even if it has to be encoded in some way through a bunch of trial and error (in this case post, post deleted, re-post, re-post deleted, re-re-post, FINALLY I'VE MANAGED TO INSULT ANOTHER POSTER WITHOUT THE POST BEING DELETED!!!!). Talk about playing slave to one's own ego. Pretty funny.

No need to insult you or anyone else. And there's nothing funny about this at all.

    Your posts
speak for themselves. Your posts praise 31 teams and ridicule the Dolphins whenever possible. Your posts were well informed and respected years ago when the negativity was matched by ineptitude from the front office and fan frustration with the lack of overall direction and improvement. Your posts are now clearly devoid of logic and filled with anti-Miami bias. Your posts are now all about attacking whatever the team does and defending LaCanfora, Evans or whoever else has something negative to say. Your posts are still entertaining, even while coming closer and closer to outright trolling. Your posts will become less and less relevant as the season begins and the wins begin to pile up. I sincerely hope your posts will begin to reflect the present day realities in time to prevent you losing what remains of your credibility.

I completely agree. If they played 100 more times my money is on there not being another 37-3 result, for or against. Add in that Tennessee has made some significant changes and that Miami has made more changes than just about any team in the NFL and that game from last season is totally irrelevant w/ respect to this year. But some people cant resist an opportunity to potshot their (alleged) own team. It's unfortunate.

    C'mon man.

Even after you disrespected him earlier, the dude bent over backwards to be civil, and respectfully tell you that you tend to be condescending towards others. And on cue, your first sentence is condescending. As if he hadn't already read through the thread. You seriously don't get it, do you?

LOL, that'd be Alen, Boom, Con, Rafael, or Todd. Honorable mentions to String, D'Pate, Robert Horry and a few others. CK is by far the most opinionated and quick to lecture people who dare disagree with him though. Clearly your respect for him isn't reciprocated, and you misspelled a word too? Ha, I'm surprised you even got a response.
