You can complain about officiating all you want, and there is a legitimate gripe. But you cannot have as many breakdowns as the Heat had and expect to win. This series has some anomalous results so far, which bode well for the Heat. They make FT's, they win. They shoot a POOR 3 pt. percentage, they win. You cannot however brick free throws left and right, and build a gazebo with your bricks from downtown. The plan is working. You play this poorly and lose by 4. Play well, and win. Simple as that.
Subtle change BTW if you noticed in the matchups. Spo put Bosh on West, and Bosh outplayed him pretty good. We still "fouled" too much anyway, so they supplement their offense that way, so the Heat have to cut something else away from the Pacers. My hunch? Play Haslem and Anthony on West and force the refs to foul out both.
I missed the 11 AM airing and won't get to the DVR until late tonight. Did he say it? Is there a replay I can catch?
We are working on getting our shows put in an archive that will be accessible on a web site. He didn't say it, but he played up the Cleveland thing pretty good. (Trollin')
Sec, I agree completely. For all the talking head chatter about how Indy is such a tough matchup and the their size is killing us, our system is working just as well as ever. We are getting the same shots and same spacing against this team that we got against Milwaukee and Chicago. The difference is that Indy is good enough to capitalize on Ray and Shane being as poor as they are. If just one of them starts playing to their averages we turn these close games into blowouts. One thing I'd like to see is more offense run through Bosh early. He has been beating Hibbert off the dribble pretty consistently and his spin moves and overall athleticism is something Hibbert can't match. Make the refs put 2 fouls on Hibbert in the 1st quarter
I'd like to see more Mike Miller in the game. He is cold blooded from three and we saw in the finals last year what he can do on this team when he's in the zone. Why be so deep on the bench if you arent going to use it.
He didnt hurt himself, he was fine and said as much at halftime. "I'm just rusty". This is so far from my original point though. I'm not saying lets play him 30 minutes a night, but when your two main three point shooters can't hit one to save their lives and you still have ANOTHER all time great shooter (and yes he is, statistics show it) there is no reason not to play him between 10-15 minutes in a game to try and spark the offense. For some reason (confidence I'd assume?) threes can tend to be contagious on a team.
I agree. Give Miller some early burn. If he's hot...stick with him. and yeah...the Heat have to get Bosh the ball early against Hibbert. Hibbert is having a tough time guarding him.
I know what he said but he was obviously lying. He tweaked something. I also enjoyed that you used statistics when they were convenient for you.
obviously better than Copeland. Miller is one of the best rebounders at his position. There is a debate as to whether JR is a good player or not. Agree on Amare and Felton.
1) I never said statistics are bad. 2) They are accurate in this case because you don't get lucky and become a top 25 all time three point shooter. 3) Sure he could have been lying, but more than likely something just cramped on him. Is there an official injury? As for Amare I'm not sure he even counts anymore. Smith COULD be much better if he didn't play the way he usually does (though he was better at the end of the year.
No he's a Novak that rebounds extremely well, can put the ball on the floor when he has to, and plays better defense.
He averaged 4.8 Ppg and 2.6 Reb this year??? Wtf are we talking about here??? Dude couldn't hold JR Smith's draws.
The picture of Birdman with an Ascot wasclearly taken when he was at his most sober. Everything else? Meth meth meth and more meth.
that's because he played a lot of garbage time. check his numbers with extended minutes: As a starter: 12.1 ppg, on 53% shooting, 51% from three. 5.1 rebs, 3.7 assists.
Draft nugget Ive heard in a few places....Mavs want to trade the 13th pick because they dont want another guaranteed contract on the books while they try and make room for Howard. Theyre going to ask the Knicks for Shumpert. The Knicks will say no. The Knicks will offer 3M in cash. The Mavs will say yes. The Knicks and Mavs have worked on a few deals the last few years. When the Knicks were looking for a C, the Mavs took contracts back. Expect the Knicks to help them. Dirk and possibly Marion may take reduced salaries to get Dwight and another player or two. The Knicks are saving Shumpert for a potential run at Paul meaning that if they take on 13 expect Kentavious Caldwell, Michael Carter Williams, and Dario Saric to be the names connected there since the Knicks will need backcourt size and they have needed playmakers for a while. Saric helps them as a stretch 4 as well. Plumlee (who I really like) and Rudy Gobert are names Ive read connected with NY as well.
I dont agree hes better then Copeland. i think Copeland is a far superior offensive player at this point and Miller's injuries limit him to being a specialist who can do a bit more in spurts but its not sustainable. Smith...there is good and bad JR depending on the night. JR is almost always a good defender though. I liken him to a lesser version of Miller when Miller came in to the league and he was actually athletic. Right but those starter minutes cant be sustained because he will get hurt. Just like with Amare, not IF but WHEN. Amare shot 57% this year...his best as a Knick. But we know its not sustainable. Same thing with Miller. You may get that for a game here and a game there and hes still worthy of a roster spot but you have to know that Mike Miller isnt what he was 3-4-5 years ago.
You mean extended garbage time vs the oppositions scrubs??? I'm not trying to poop on Mike Miller, but he would still be a 7th or 8th guy off the bench for NY aswell.
he gets no calls because he has lebron and wade on his team it is what it is. However i dunno how anyone can watch these playoff games and not laugh at how hibert is reffed shaq must be vomiting when he sees the calls he gets.
I was going to stay silent so everyone else could read yet another jaded ignorant comment from her. Now she will likely delete it to save face.
