Hmmm, looks like Leguarta will soon be an antagonist on the show. She's slowly putting the pieces together.
I too would like to see this season focus more on the cat and mouse game going on between Dexter and Isaac. It's almost a back story at this point which is a shame.
My guess is that Isaac kills Hannah as revenge for Dex killing his gay lover. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm thinking Deb kills Hannah, possibly in self defense. The season will end with even more friction between Dexter and Deb heading into the final season. I think Isaac killing Hannah would be too much like season four with Trinity killing Rita. Not that they won't recycle a storyline.
Kind of a filler/slow episode this week, next week's looks like much more action based. I did like the bar scene though. I felt the Deb/Dexter "I love you" scene was kind of painful to watch for some reason.
I loved Isaak character. I wonder where they are going from here with 3 episodes left, and what I thought would be this seasons big villain gone. Not really interested in the fire storyline yet and Deb-Dexter-Hannah love triangle does not interest me. I wish they would speed up this Laguerta thing
The Laquerta thing will probably be some type of cliffhanger ending leading into the final season. Overall this season has gotten a little better, the Issac character definitely grew on me, but in general it's still one of the weaker ones (I probably put it above only the Julia Styles season and last season). I still don't really like how Dexter is with Hannah just seems weird.
It's looking like Dexter is going to have to choose between Deb or Hannah and that's how the season is going to end. I must say I thought Dexter was finally growing as a character learning that it might just be him and not his dark passenger and then in the next scene he takes out Hannah's dad. A little disappointing.
This season was good and had so much potential with the Issac angle, but dive then it's been really weak. The whole Hannah story line bores me and the laguerta thing is taking for ever. Dexter had a great villain this year and dropped the ball. I think deb knowing about dexter is making people think this season is actually better then it really is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's taking a turn for the better... The whole Hanna thing is actually kind of interesting after tonight. The previews look insane for the next few eps. I love that Leguarta set him up by getting his mothers killer released. Such a ****ing twist. I'm usually good about seeing the twists coming (for example, Deb obviously had the accident on purpose). But I didn't connect his release with her. Going to be a crazy final two eps.
I agree I thought last night's episode was really good and yeah I do think Deb set up Hannah. Next week's finale should be interesting to see where they're headed for the final season.
I guess I'm in the minority but I don't believe Deb poisoned herself. It just seems waaay too risky to poison herself and then drive knowing she would black out.
I honestly keep going back and forth on that too. I think ultimately it will be revealed Deb did it to simply get rid of Hannah, as it would add more to the story. But who knows.
I wonder if Batista will become suspicious of Dexter now once he finds out what happens. I wonder if hes going to think that Hannah saying to Dexter, "You should have killed me" was weird. Should be interesting final season next season. I thought the episode was going to end with a gun shot but you have no idea who Deb shot. Glad thats not the case since its obvious Dexter needs to live
Yeah I think it will be Batista carrying on the torch trying to find out what happened since it doesn't look like anyone else will. Quinn still knows Dexter is a killer, wonder if the writers remember that, so maybe he'll help Batista. I wasn't a big fan of the finale, it's just typical Dexter where he always gets out of things not to mention why LaGuerta would go to the docks without calling for back up or how Hannah was able to escape in the hospital. I really just don't know where or how this sets up the last season. I doubt will see Deb running around with Dexter killing bad guys and I'm not sure if I can take emo Deb crying all next season about her killing LaGuerta. One thing is though, the bullet will be traced back to Deb's gun, they need to get rid of that somehow.
That was my biggest complaint, When Dexter set her up to come to the docks, i was like hes an idiot, shes going to call for backup because there no way she would ever come alone.
Same here. Pretty dumb of LaGuerta to go there without back up too and she's by no means dumb. She figured out the whole Dexter is a killer thing and how Deb was involved.
Seriously, and getting a call from Estrada that he's back in the unit he was in before, you have to question why he would call you, and if he's at the unit, dexter must have captured him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I kind of liked the finale. It basically summed up the morale for the season, which is that **** has hit the wall and this will not end well for anyone. I don't know where they go with it next season though. Dexter will never stop killing and Hannah is still out there, despite being an escaped convict. The end is definitely near.
I've actually heard rumors that because Dexter has gotten record high ratings there's talk Showtime might want to extend the series. I'm really hoping they don't as I already feel like this series has gone on 3 seasons too long. Anyway I think next season they should show the after effects of the LaGuerta murder with Deb being off the wall with guilt and the show slowly turning on Dexter as the evil because after all he is a killer and now his "code" is broken.
I doubt they'll extend it past eight seasons. I'd still watch it if they did. It's not as good but still good enough to watch IMO. I'm not sure Deb is actually going to go all Lady MacBeth next season. That's a pretty predictable and somewhat boring storyline. Deb is not going to commit homicide to protect Dexter and then turn on him. I just can't see it and would probably stop watching if the story even inched in that direction. It could have made sense maybe if Dexter would have actually killed LaGuerta but he didn't. He basically offered up his own life to protect Deb. She's all in with Dexter now, even more so than before.
It's confirmed that Dexter will be back on June 30th however the Showtime President refused to say whether or not it will be the last season after all. This past season had the best ratings ever so its possible Showtime will want the series to continue. I really hope this coming season is the last, I really think the show is stale and yeah last season had some good moments its just time to end the series.
I just got caught up with this show. Season 5 was a real stinker so I was happy to see 6 and 7 be mildly interesting. Agree with everyone else who thinks it needs to end.
