For those that think the NFL wouldn't allow the move, I bet the people of Baltimore, LA, Cleveland and Houston thought the same thing.

I don't know the details of the arrangement with the Bills but I bet the biggest relocation threat would be Toronto.

    In my opinion...

Ross and Dee totally misplayed this ruling. I can understand them not being happy. But, they had just generated so much good energy focused BACK at the Phins...and then Dee goes into public acting like a baby. Now its in the papers.....news etc...is Miami - LA bound?

There is NOTHING they could have done publicly about the decision. Nothing. They had nothing to gain by Dee running around telling everyone how Dire it is. Only lose.

Why would it not? They still have 2 teams in Florida, they move a struggling organization to a place that has wanted a team back for a long time that has a new stadium ready.

The base attendance for the Marlins is almost certainly worse in their new ballpark than it was at Sun Life stadium. They couldn't match their best attendance levels at Sun Life stadium in 2012, and their attendance now is lower than the last several years at Sun Life.

Sun Life Stadium is about as ideal as you can realistically get. Theoretically it would be better if it were moved east, but that had a bunch of problems then, and those would even be worse now.

Also if you think Sun Life is in a dangerous neighborhood you are a terrible yuppie.

Exactly, what the NFL gets is a team in LA and a chance for Miami to get desperate for a team again. Which increases the chance of Miami ponying up so dough to make some money. In fact if Miami doesn't put up some public funds, and another owner comes to take the team away to a city that is willing to put up public funds, the NFL CANNOT reject the transaction because it lessens their position to get public funds for stadiums.

    That's the problem....a decision was never made....The House didn't vote....the people didn't vote....

M&T Bank stadium is at the Baltimore end of the 295 Baltimore/Washington Parkway so it does count as being easily accessible from a major highway. I can't speak for the other cities but a ton of Ravens fans drive from the suburbs to go to the games. It's not as if it's full of people that live inside the city. I think it's a great location not being that far from the inner harbor but at this point they could move it 30 or 40 miles out of the city and the stadium would still be full on Sundays. Winning a Super Bowl will do that for you.

Building a stadium correctly will do that for you..M&T is built beautifully inside, stands are as close as Seattles, it's so closed in, amazing fan etiquette in that stadium..Serious home field advantage and the energy created because of the way it's built helps that team win games.

I drive from DC to Ravens games. M&T is awesome. Luxury boxes are nice too. Somehow they transported Ben's to Baltimore.

I would bet Money that as soon as the Bills owner departs for the other side ,The bills are going Canadian. His family would be instant Billionaires. that's gonna happen. I think LA will get another Team , possibly the Jags. Miami will stay in Florida, not necessarily Miami /Dade.

  11. Baltimore also has the light rail that drops you off right at the stadium, which is how I would get there when I lived up there.

All of the moves were to generate excitement among a voter base, more so than a fan base. I think the 180 degree turn of tone the moment the stadium bill died shows that that was the main intention of building all this goodwill and excitement.

Well, I live in LA and I am from Toronto, so either way I'm covered.
