What about the 2007 Miami Dolphins season? Did that make the cut? One of the biggest jokes I have ever witnessed...

 

I think Artie's act is funny. Once. Since it hasn't changed in a decade it's definitely not worth seeing twice. But for a guy who has had a handful of Letterman appearances in the past 2 years, has a book out, and has played some huge venus with a regular job on the Stern show to boot, it's really hard to argue that he's not popular enough to be in a contest for funny people and comedians. If you're keeping it objective and not subjective, Artie's gotta be in somewhere. But it's your show and this is just MHO.

 

maybe put Artie in the "Brown Bag" category.

 

Oh ... another one I just thought of -- Rowan Atkinson. (Can you tell I'm a bit of an Anglophile?)

No Dunham surprises me, as he seems to be particularly popular right now.

 

Big fan of Robert Schimmel and Eddie Izzard.

 

Dunham should be in,as should Carrington and hastings.

 

If you want my opinion:

• Robet Klein should stay. He was something of a pioneer.
  
• Bill Maher should go.
  
• Richard Lewis never really tripped my trigger.
  
• Billy Connelly is ok, but I like Martin and Izzard far more. However, on the subject of Scottish funnymen, I hope Craig Ferguson made it in.
  
• Kevin James is ok. If you're talking stand-up, I actually prefer his co-star Greg Valentine.

 

When will this be outdated and tiring to see? Not until the season starts... then the cliche "Who Is Best" tournaments will begin next summer once again..
