We traded #81 to NOLA (via Jest) for their #106 and #109 picks Also picked up Cleveland's #5 in the DBess trade in exchange for #217 3 #4's and 3 #5's There is still plenty of talent on the board, Bailey, Swope, the U's McGee Qb's are ice ice cold this draft And keep in mind the list is tentative, not 100% where the Brownies #5 is
Quinton Patton could be the best football catcher left in the draft. Wouldn't mind Bailey or Swope Either. This gives us a lot of opportunity to replace some practice squad and depth guys with some boom or bust playmakers. How about Kenjon Barner Marcus Lattimore ANDRE ELLINGTON?! I'm ****ing stoked. Lacy is gone btw^^
Great job by Ireland, IMO. There is a healthy amount of talent left. Hopefully they will be available tomorrow.
Quessenberry, Stepfan Taylor, Fragel, Jonathan Franklin, Abry Jones... seriously we are set up for a good latter part of the draft. **** I'd take Barkley in the 5th
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1824516/will-davis COMPARES TO: Richard Marshall, Dolphins
If Barkley is there at the 3rd4th round pick, do you take him and hope to trade him for a higher pick in the future? I wouldn't, but if he's the best player available, do you have the discussion?
Patton, Franklin, Ellington, Swope, Devin Taylor, Denard Robinson, Reid Fragel, Brian Schwenke, Phillip Thomas, Shark, Rambo, Fauria, Darick Rogers, Khaseem Greene, Josh Evans, Jelani Jenkins, Alex Okafors, Cornelius Washington, Vince Williams, Xavier Nixon, Marques Wilson
Players I would like in rd 4 (in no order): Bahktiari, Quessenberry, Schwenke, Swope, Patton, Stills, Harper, Shamarko Thomas, Phillip Thomas, Baccari Rambo (probably not an option because of of the field), Okafor, Jesse Williams, Kasheem Greene, Dion Sims, Kyle Juszczyk, and Gerald Hodges.
I am still upset about missing on Goodwin, Bailey and Reed. Sure missing on one, fine... I still blame the trade out on the Bills taking Goodwin. They got their Austin Lite right before we selected. I really wanted that kid if we missed on Tavon. Oh well. I guess I will be happy if we get Patton or Swope tomorrow. I prefer Patton, personally.
Or he could be wasted away on the bench and lost for nothing or provided nothing. I like Barkley, so I'm not totally opposed to the idea, but I'd rather wait for some more immediate contributors to be off the board before taking another QB.
He's already developed. Unless he gets live action and tears it up the NFL will still treat him as the 4th rounder or later he currently is. He's media hype. The kid came in as a freshman who was already coached up like a college senior. He's just about tapped out and doesn't have NFL caliber talent; meanwhile NFL caliber talent QBs who weren't afforded all the coaching he got since he was a teenager will get that coaching and begin surpassing him.
when we would even get the chance to prove it? Are we putting him in if tanny goes down? No. Moore's here for 2 more years. I don't get this logic. I think the patriots took Ryan Mallet with this logic and they're realizing it was a complete waste. Thankfully they can afford to do it, but really, what was the point?
He'll have the preseason to play. And could have games to play late in the season if we ever have playoff spots clinched. He'll have opportunities to play within the next 4 seasons.
