I don't know. Part of thinks if we move up from 12, it may be an attempt to nab Star and not a OT. Randy Starks is clearly disgruntled.

There is not really a wrong move that can be made here, unless we trade up and give away to much.

We can select an OT and it wouldn't be a wrong pick. We can select a CB and it wouldn't be wrong. We can take a DT or DE and there is nothing wrong with that either. We could take a WR and there is a case to be made for that. Point is that we are in a great position to get an impact player or to trade down, get more picks and still fill all the needs with starters. This draft is deep enough in our positions of need that we can get what we want out of it at our price.

He just wants a multi-yer deal. If that happens, he'll be gruntled again. :shifty:

He did say he was going to show up to the other camps and workouts, but still a no-show is a no-show and can be taken as such.

Most franchised players skip voluntary workouts to seek a long-term deal... he's probably not upset, just doing business.

It's a longshot, but hopefully what the dolphins do is trade up and grab Dee Milliner

TBH, SF has so many picks they can trade up or out and not really effect their roster.

That's normal for someone who doesn't have a multi-year, guaranteed money contract. No player is going to get risk getting injured and have his value go way down.

It's also an injury concern. If the guy gets hurt now, he could lose millions.

I don't see it as a longshot. He'd be a very legitimate target for the Phins. In fact, if they do trade up (into the top-10), I'd hope it was for Milliner or Dion Jordan. I still think if they trade up, it'll be from 42 back into the first.

That is what I have been saying all along. I hope that is the pick and we do move up to get him. Milliner, imo, has to be our first target and priority.

I don't recall what it was, but it seems like someone gave a viable reason why Starks was a no show, other than being disgruntled. I cannot recall what it was though. Maybe my memory is failing, I am quite elderly now. He has signed his Franchise tender right? So he is now guaranteed more money for the next season than most of us will make in a lifetime. Poor guy anyway. :)

Starks can't be terribly disgruntled because he still went to the team function involving go karts and kids. I'm sure any misgivings he has are only related to the long term contract he wants, not his feelings about the team.

If they do intend to go T with the first, I would like them to stay put and get Fluker. He can be a great right tackle. He's an awesome run blocker. He would do wonders for Miller. I can imagine Miller running off tackle stuff off of Fluker. Also teams have good rushers coming from that side as well. If Martin can get stronger and continue to progress, that could be a great OL. It's doubtful, but they may even be able to get Johnson at 12. However, with San Diego in front of us and their big need for a LT, they would probably take him. At least we may have to only jump up one spot. With that said, I would stay put a get Fluker if Tackle is the way they want to go.

Johnson won't get to pick 11 for SD. The Cards will take him. They may even swap places with the Browns to ensure getting him. Give up a 3rd or 4th to go from 7 to 6, so no other team can leapfrog them.

You can't compare him to us. You can compare him to other NFL Players. And if he blows a knee in a voluntary workout it can have devastating effects.

I think Jordan will be gone somewhere in the first three picks. I don't see the Dolphins moving up that high in the draft because of the number of picks it would take to move up that many positions.
I would love to see Jordan in a Dolphins uniform in 2013, but I just don't see it happening.

Was not at the workouts to prevent issues if he's hurt...that's not unreasonable. If in lifting at the facility, he tears a pec or whatever, his bargaining chips for a long term contract go out the door... This is just part of the business of the NFL, not that he's disgruntled...

Hard to see Jordan getting by 2-5. All could use a DE like him. If he makes it to 6, that would be legit. I don't think we are looking too hard at moving to 3.

I think San Fran needs to make sure they have a lot of quality depth b/c the salary cap won't be kind to that talented team. Gonna be a lot of expensive players they'll have to worry about re-signing and I doubt they'll be able to afford 'em all.

There's the possibility of trading ahead of Buffalo for Tavon Austin, and by us feigning interest in Milliner or another player it might let Buffalo's guard down enough to where they're inclined to stand pat and let Austin come to them.... when instead we JUMP RIGHT IN and SWOOP HIM UP!

I think I would rather have jarvis Jones. Our lbs would be sick and Jones may be the best passrusher/playmaker in the whole draft
