They are more of entertainers than basketball players.

Still think they win in 7.

Arguing with a Knick fan on twitter:

Him: blah blah blah blah..and STAT only played one game vs. Miami last year in playoffs!.

    Me: That is not accurate.

Him: What? He played in 2 games? get the **** outta here dude.

Me: He played in 4 games. There were 5 in the series.

Knick fans might overtake the Laker fans..although with this Kobe injury....fat chance.

    Bulls fans..are just sad. :(

It's good for the Nuggets too, that they shipped him out of town for parts. Parts which made the team better—almost instantaneously. Rather than keep a cancer, it became an addition-by-subtraction situation.

Melo is a cancer now huh....

Yep, he infected the Knicks into the best team they have had in 14 years. Hopefully that cancer continues too spread.

Maybe Lebron wouldn't have left if Cleveland actually made a proper effort to put a team around him.

    Misconception.

Cleveland didnt fail due to lack of effort, they failed because they are.....Cleveland.

Younger? Yes. Cheaper? Yes. Better? No way. Playoffs are a different game. You need stars and they have none.

If it ended today the Heat would have Millwaukee rd 1, and NJ or ATL round 2. Yikes what a cake walk.

They made plenty of effort, it just didn't work out. Larry Hughes went from an above average and seemingly improving player (he was actually very good the year before he got to Cleveland) to having arguably his worst 3 pro seasons (or 2 and part of one) to that date.

They also stupidly trusted Boozer which allowed him to leave for nothing when they could have easily kept him, but they did try (made the effort) to keep him around long term.

They had some other players who were at least pretty good while Lebron was there (Mo Williams, Varejao, Ilgauskas), but like I said the moves they really tried just didn't work out. To say they didn't make the proper effort though isn't right.

As Fin-o said, they failed to build a team because they're Cleveland, had nothing to do with proper effort.

Key letter being the s...plural. All of the great teams have multiple star players and the teams with just one tend to go out early come playoff time. I honestly would rather have a bunch of very very good players like Denver has than Melo and no-one else.

Denver did get better by losing Melo whether you want to admit it or not, and it helped NY out as well by at least giving Knick fans hope.

It was a win-win trade where was that disputed?

Atleast giving fans hope...lol, the arrogance is laughable. I'm sure you were touting the Heat and was a huge die hard when Ronnie Seikaly was leading the way.

Reminds me of Pats fans trying too belittle Dolphins fans, just because the FINALLY are relevant.

Denver is a better regular season team but now they are severely depleted. Gallo is done for the year with his ACL. Lawson is hurt. What people forget about the Melo deal is the Knicks would have had to renounce the rights to Gallinari or sign him to an extension which would have cost big money. they gave up Felton in the deal and hes right back with the NYK. So in reality they gave up Gallo Chandler Mozgov and 2 future 1sts neither of which will be a lottery pick for the best scorer in the league, JR, a year of Billups whose cap space they then used to sign Tyson. It was a good trade for both teams especially for what Denver faced given the circumstances but the Knicks still won the deal. But you can make a strong argument that the Knicks got the best player in the deal and this years 6th man of the year. Its not a coincidence that the Knicks 13 game win streak coincided with JR Smith averaging 24 a game over that stretch.

    It wasn't an insult.

Anthony DID give you hope. The same way D-Wade gave us hope when he emerged on the scene. I didn't mean it as a put down, I meant before Melo they were kind of floating around aimless for a while (so were we).

I'm glad youre relevant. Id love to face you in the ECF every year.

Right, but Denver did obviously get better as well. It was a win-win is what I meant, but with the added stipulation that Denver has become a better team without Melo as well it would seem.

hmm not sure how far I would go to trust Lebron wouldn't be surprised at all if he left the heat in 2014 more so if they fail to win another championship these next 2 seasons. If the heat find themselves coming off a 3-peat I would be pretty shocked if Lebron opted out though.

I'd rather see Celtics win the series because A) Cmon, the not winning a playoff series in god knows how long is hilarious and b) I would much, much much much rather see Celtics get knocked out by Miami for the 3d consecutive season.

Does the Heat's home games always start out with empty seats? Not being sarcastic I just do not get to see many of their home games where I live.

Speaking as someone who actually goes to the games, The AAA gets very packed.
You dont get the whole view of the arena on tv.

    Lakers win!

Only 1 Jazz loss over the next two games or a win on Wednesday and they're in. Hopefully the Jazz just go ahead and lose tomorrow to remove the drama.

Is far fetched, but if the Warriors lose to The Spurs and Trailblazers and The Lakers beat the Rockets, then they will jump ahead of Golden State in the playoffs. The win today was a huge hurdle.

Sunday at 1 pm, with nothing to win? crowd is gonna file in late.

But the AAA has been completely packed all year, it has been a tough ticket to get, and it is loud.

    Heat fans have been great.

As I mentioned above, I would prefer to see the Celtics make the ECF instead of the Knicks because **** the Celtics, however If I had to bet on a team, I would bet that NY takes the series in 5-6 games. Just IMO.

I agree. Not giving the Celtics enough credit. KG and Pierce will be enough to steal one...maybe even two...with every game being close. Thats a scenario I can easily see. A sweep would truly surprise me and be encouraging.
