The Bulls defensive strategy of collapsing into the paint at all times works so well against the Heat.
Heat now suck... BSPN will be jubilent tomorrow, "..this shows the Heat are not what we thought they were.!!!"
refs killed the heat in this game they fouled out haslem in 10 mins then they let the bulls head hunt on lebron no one stepped up to help lebron
Still doesn't take away from the hard fought game Chicago played... Deng and boozer did what they had to and Jimmy butler complimented nicely. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
You guys are an embarrassment to Miami sports streaks. The Dolphins didn't lose a game for 17 weeks. Step your game up, Heat.
the bulls deserve all the credit for this im just saying the league really needs to start protecting its best player the amount of head shots he takes when teams dont even go for the ball is shameful
The worst part about this is having to listen to Michael Wilbon about his mighty Bulls for the next two weeks.
Yes and No. They should protect ALL their players in these situations. IMO, they should not only protect their best players. There are times when the 'best' players also go for the head as well, should we not protect the victim there? Perfect example was Boozer's last put back tonight. Lebron was (probably rightfully so) not going for the ball just for Boozer's head... IMO, no player should go for the other's head. Just not right.
Heat outplayed by a team that was missing its two best players...Not a good way to go. Though with how terrible and injured the East is, none of this really matters; they're a lock to make the Finals.
While all true this is also not how the world works the cream of the crop are always favored. Look at the nfl brady gets his knee blown out on a low hit its banned the next season.
Did Lebron hurt his shoulder when he leaned in on Boozer? That was about as intentional as you would see. Good call by those refs.
No, he got hurt the play before when he was hit low by one player and high by another. Refs reviewed it and decided no flagrant. LeBron had little choice but to respond in kind unless he was willing to be a pinotta the rest of the season. Always said other than home plate umpire NBA refs have biggest impact on determining the outcome of game. Tonight proved it once again. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

I'm guessing he just can't remember the last time they did win a playoff series, so he ballparked it.
Cut him some slack. He was 16 when the streak started. Its hard for 30 year olds to remember things from when they were 16. The last time the Knicks won a playoff series: - People were worried about Y2K. - More people didn't have cell phones than did. - The Houston Texans didn't exist. - Dan Marino was still our starting QB - Cashinfist's Bob Evans date, was 4. - Facebook didn't exist. - Scarlett Johansson wasn't old enough to drive. - AOL was still mailing everyone discs. - W had not been President yet - The Sega Dreamcast was brand new.
Anyway, Congratulations to the Miami Heat for having the most impressive win streak in American Professional Sports History.
The Lakers might disagree, but it was hella impressive. Look, I love the Bulls, and I'm glad they were the ones who happened to end the streak, but I'm also realistic, and there's no way the Heat aren't winning the title again this year. Congrats, Miami.
Knicks almost blew a 30 point lead to memphis but didnt. The refs tried hard to give Memphis that game. I mean really tried. Ticky tack fouls all over the place, wouldnt even let the knicks play defense. Marcus Camby got ejected (and Camby has precious little track record of getting T's). The good news: JR Smith has attempted more free throw attempts then 3's for the 4th time in 5 games. This coincides with the Knicks 5 game win streak which is now the longest around. JR called out the team in a meeting during the 4 game losing streak on their west coast trip. Since then they have grinded out some ugly wins sans Tyson and Amare. - Shumpert was 6-6 in the first half, showed his offensive game for the first time since his injury as he exploded to the hoop a few times and was active on D. If the Knicks want a deep playoff run they need contributions like this from him. Until the refs started calling bs to keep Memphis from being blow out of the building (it was really that bad), Shump and JR were thoroughly dominating. Then Woodson was too slow to put him back in til Memphis closed to within 10 by which point Shump had been on the bench for roughly 14 minutes of game action and was ice cold. The bad news: Tyson has missed 7 games in a row, has a bulging disc in his neck and the team may keep him out another 2 weeks to try and get him healthy for the playoffs. It was definitely impressive but like Doc said LAL would disagree. Dont get me wrong, Id love it if my Knicks did it that. Another team that would disagree are our own Dolphins who put together a 26-2 streak around that 72 undefeated season + 73 which is still the best 2 year run in American Pro sports history.
If you dig into that 1971-72 Laker season and realize that they played against HALF of a league (The ABA was just as good as the NBA), did not have to play back to backs, and that there was 6 consecutive years of expansion to dilute HALF of the product, then you come to my conclusion that this 27 game win streak, although not 33....was probably more impressive and a more difficult feat.
The only way one arrives at that conclusion is if one manipulates stats to convince themselves that 27>33. What you said may be true but we can also factor in that each team had more talent because there were fewer of them and of course 33 is still > 27. That said I think the heat now would beat those Lakers then.
You missed the part where they played against half of a league because they didn't play against the ABA. it's as if the Heat only played against the Eastern Conference and never played San Antonio or OKC, Clippers, Memphis, etc... So no. Each team did not have more talent. Actually less, since the ABA had over 20 hall of famers that those Lakers never played.
BTW, the very best wing players in professional basketball at that time were in the ABA. Rick Barry and Julius Erving. SO that's like the Heat playing in a league without Lebron and Durant.
This guy also believes that the Patriots going 18-1 was more impressive than the 72 Phins going 17-0. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
