    IMO, the biggest quote I can take from that comes from Ross when talking about the offense.

    "I don't think we are done."

    Tavon Austin at 12. Mark it down.

    Brought in players JOE thought would work in his system...

    Goodbye bad theory of Wallace being pushed upon Philbin.

    Here's the comment. They asked him about if this is the vision of the offense they had by adding Wallace, Keller, keeping Hartline....Ross interjected Lamar Miller (boy, they are high on him).

    Ross said that they can see that this is the direction the NFL is going in. He said it is about speed, explosiveness, the passing game, and excitement. He says that is what they are trying to develop here, and he doesn't think they are done yet.

    Not sure how much our offense has improved this off season:

    WR = absolutely
    TE = push
    RB = worse
    OL = worse

    I hope they aren't done.

    I'll say this about Ross: He's gotten better in front of the camera. And say what you will about the anti-Ireland demonstration last off season, but Ross has been more transparent and likable since then, IMHO.

    I'd argue that RB definitely isn't worse. For all the big plays Reggie Bush made, he made just as many negative plays. Lamar Miller is a guy who has the ability to give you those big plays, but he doesn't have the flawed tendencies to give you the negative plays.

    The OL is situation where they are currently in the process of converting if from a man on man, mauling type of line to a more mobile zone blocking line. Maximum pass protection schemes are out the window, replaced by more spread formations designed to take the pass rushers out of the lanes. It is a work in progress.

    That was awesome..

    Feel good about the direction, absolutely love Steven Ross, even if he does get to excited sometimes..

    We are the youngest team in football y'all.

    And you can tell, we definitely aren't done acquiring some players..

    To bad the city of Miami will not pass this vote...really will be a shot in the gut..200 mill really ain't sh$) relative to what a modernized stadium could do for the community, looks like we're content with being the murph and San Diego..

    Really disappointing imo..feel bad for the players who will have to continue to play in that place..

    I hope Ross will care enough to fund the whole thing.

    Love that we are changing the logo AND the uniform..love love..tweaking the aqua and orange and changing the scheme is a brilliant move, much respect for the balls to do it..

    Ireland looked confident..still have 20 mill to play with, and the spirit of an owner that will do whatever it takes by his side, must be a good feeling for a Gm.

    "Have to ask Jake long why he's not a dolphin"... Ireland points out..

    I know the answer Jeff..this town ain't for everybody..

    I'm excited about the two new linebackers, I think they will be upgrades from an athletic standpoint and an enthusiastic one..run and hit will be the new philosophy for these two guys..I was a Dansby fan, not a Burnett one, but Dansby questioned the new coach in a forum that wasn't appropriate imo, and coming to camp that year that much over weight was a deal breaker..I was wrong on that player, I thought he had natural leadership capabilities and would be a pro bowl player..my bad.

    Wallace..Hartline..Gibson..Bess..is a real solid group..been saying it all offseason, if its offense, Tavon or Eifert would put them over the top...not defensible.

    Yeah I like how Ross threw Miller's name in there. Also how Ireland said they're not done yet in FA when asked about the corner position.

    Yeah. He said they had a couple of guys in free agency they were keeping their eyes on, and that they also liked a couple of the guys on the current roster, mentioning both Dimitri Patterson and Richard Marshall.

    My guess is, since they had Brent Grimes in for a visit, that he's a guy they are watching to see when he will actually be ready to take a physical and whatnot.

    Receiver is better.

    Tight end is better. Keller is a better receiver than Fasano and hopefully, Egnew does something. I don't think we are done at tight end personally.

    I'd argue running back is a push, if not better. Reggie Bush was not suited too the system and more often than not put us in bad situations by trying to gain 50 instead of taking 2. Lamar Miller is a one cut/go runner. We do need another guy, I hope we get Eddie Lacy at some point too be the hammer.

    The offensive line is the exact same starters right now as we finished the season with so I fail to see how it is "worse". Jeff Ireland is not going into training camp with Nate Garner as his starter at right tackle so once we acquire someone it will be "better".

    Yeah that was hilarious, Ireland had to crick his neck from side to side in that one...but Fin, I don't care about that sh&$ from our owner, the reporters ask him football questions and he's excited, it's not a big deal, he lives the team..lol but your right, Ireland jumped in there to set the correct expectations...it was good to see him do that actually..

    I think Ross is a rock star owner..dude will do anything possible, and is doing everything possible to make this franchise an elite one, on many different levels, stadium, uniform, free agency..

    Too bad this community as a majority doesn't get it.

    No, no, I wasn't complaining. i loved it. I think its awesome.

    I think, and I know people are going to blast me for this, but I think we are starting to see the effects of Philbin.

    The excitement and approach of this offseason is only possible because players and Ireland have bought into what Philbin is doing. (Except Long, but whatevs)

    According to Forbes, Steve Ross' net worth as of March 2013 is $4.4 billion. If he wants to be a ****ing hero and wants stadium upgrades he should pony up the financing and get it done. Buying a sports franchise, while a public trust, is also a business and owning it comes with responsibility.

    If I buy a house and after about a decade it needs a new roof and some appliances I don't go to the neighbours and ask for the money, I have to figure out how to get the money and take care of it.

    Steve Ross bought a football team. He knew the stadium would need upgrades, he is too smart not to have known that. Pay for it. If he sells the team in 10 years and makes a $300 million dollar profit (partly because of an upgraded stadium) is he going to kick some of that profit back to the taxpayers? Not a ****ing chance.

    Corporate welfare at it's finest. I have no time for billionaire's freeloading from taxpayers while there are MUCH more important things to spend tax money on. I know a sports franchise is important to the community and brings in all sorts of benefits but when you have multi-billions in the column next to your net worth don't take money away from infrastructure spending, or education too give your play thing a make over. Don't make over stretched tax payers pay your freight while you fly around in a private jet to one of your 10 houses.

    It annoys me....a lot. I'd give him the stadium deal, if he signed a bullet proof document stating that every single cent he makes upon sale of the franchise over and above the initial purchase price gets split 50/50 with the county. Think he'd agree? Not a chance.

    What would make you think there is a Philbin affect? Lol

    Maybe Smith..Davis..Marshall..Johnson..Dansby and the leadership crew being ousted isn't a coincidence.

    I don't ever want to put bush in that scenario, I thought he would be gone based on his performance and skillset, nothing else, he was a pleasure to watch practice.

    I understand your POV, what are your thoughts in what he said about his team being the only team in the league who has to pay real estate tax, he said it in defense of your POV I think..

    The problem I see is a lack of vision by the city not capitalizing in a great investment oppurtunity because they are scorned and clouded?

    IMO, if the guy is already having back problems, I would stay away. If they think Jake Long won't be what he was when he came into the league after a shoulder injury and a triceps injury, then I would think they would be even more concerned with a 6'7" guy who is having back issues.
