His juice is almost gone and way past ripe.

There's so many better options out there than him. We are young and we're gonna stay that way.

You want the Pats to suffer, you sign Pollard.

I posted that on another thread in response to CK's comments on Robinson. Too bad about that situation.

Yeah he's been knocked in the noggin a lot. It's sad but at this point Miami seems like they've got the position nailed so taking a chance on him would have no negative consequences.

As would I. Very underrated IMO. Much better than Brandon Gibson too, or our current #4 (maybe even our #3).

Nate Washington for a late pick, hm? How late? A 5th, I'm guessing.

I don't know. Where would Nate Washington fit in with the current WR group? I don't really see him as an upgrade to Davone Bess at this point, and I'd like to have some type of developmental guy in the #4 role.

Bolden went for a 6th, so could be anywhere from 5-7 I would think.

Washington is pretty fast. He'd give us another deep threat. I'd like to have him as a #3, much more than Gibson, who is not a poor man's Hartline because he isn't nearly as fast as Hartline.

    Two questions:

    1) What else would you get with, let's say a 7th round pick instead?
    2) What pick could you get by trading Davone Bess?

I still think Bess is going to be shopped.

That $5.1m cap hit number is no bueno. Unless Nate is willing to restructure, I am more interested in Bess as our #3 than Washington.

I'd prefer Bess in the slot, honestly.

Does Washington play special teams? With our backup receivers I would think we want players who can contribute on all sides of the ball.

As for Bess, I'm not sure on value. Maybe a 4th? Depends on his contract.

To the Dolphins it would only be $4.2 million.

    And again, I'd do that.

Thought this was an interesting discussion about whether the Dolphins will be much better because of our free agency haul:

Billick mentions that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 'won March' last year by signing Vincent Jackson, Dallas Clark, an Olineman, and Eric Wright to support Josh Freeman and bolster their D. But none of that helped them get over the hump on the field as they finished 7-9.

Are we winning March, but expecting too much success because of it?

it's always a crap shoot. Which is why the outrage over not signing certain free agents and assuming they'd be just as good here is bogus.

You're starting to put together a WR room that accounts for $20-25m in cap money, Chris. Is that really what you want.

Also, to justify that money, I think you have to move Bess so Nate sees the field more. You don;t want him rotating in sometimes at #3 for $4m. And if he is rotating with Bess, why not just draft a kid in the second round to do that?

I agree on the talent, and value of trasing for the low pick, but I want the money we spend to show on the field, not the bench. Think about the CB situation right now. Is the money not better spent there than on a #3/#4 WR?

Bess is here for one more year...I know it's a lot of money but the Dolphins have essentially already said "**** it" to allocation controls on a position basis so why not.

Or you could look at it as, the Bucs won March and improved their record by 3 games (From 4-12). Applying that to the Dolphins, next year we could expect 10-6. Depends on how you look at it I guess.

There is truth there, but and it's a huge but, their OL was worse than ours in pass pro

We've watched this team, we needed deep speed, the Lb switch is just that, a net push.

OT and Cb are natural questions, both OT's are gone, leaving Martin and ??? at RT, SS24 is still on the mkt and we have no answers there and Te is also a hole.

So Basically, we added Mike Wallace, try to keep that in perspective instead of what fans are doing, basking in the glow of the praise of the Dolphins by the "formers".

That does not mean anything at all honestly.

Sports Radio in KC is speculating that the release of Winston has nothing to do with his talent level, but more due to the fact that he's extremely loyal to outgoing QB Matt Cassell, and they didn't want that sort of distraction potentially dividing the locker room.

Despite always having them, Andy Reid is not actually a fan of quarterback controversies.

If they're hell bent on putting Jonathan Martin at left tackle (which I view to be a mistake but whatevz), then Eric Winston would be a pretty good signing.

    "Reggie Bush..is a Detroit Lion."

I for one am grateful for his time here. He was fun to watch. I hope he got a ridiculous number.

I think my mood might sour if I saw him sign with Detroit for close to what he was making before.
