Notice it is being deleted instead of disputed. This situation is similar to EA Madden where you can actually go in and offer a minimum bid for players, but of course the team will match most of the time, especially if you take away any kind of bonus.
It was posted in the original thread that the bid must be above the amount of the tender/tag that the player received. We don't follow that particular rule of the CBA because it's a one year league so no player in their right mind would sign a $500K contract for one year over a $8.5M+ contract for one year.
It's being deleted because it was breaking a rule that was addressed in the original post before you even attempted to make that bid. We both know that this is not going to work in your favor so just give it up.
Yeah, but the other team would get to match and they would be forced to get that 500,000 contract regardless. It's keeping player contract inflation in check.
There you go attempting to pick and choose which part of the CBA fits these "rules". If the rules for some are going to be backed up by the CBA then all rules should be backed up by the same legal document.
Well they say America is a boiling pot, and apparently they too pick and choose when to use the constitution to fit them. I will proceed with my perfectly legal and well intention bids.
Sure you can bid. And Grimes and his agent can laugh you off the planet while accepting the larger bid.
It's just a joke based on the front loaded offers that constituted a poison pill. So in our one year league I just consider a poison pill to be a bloody huge 1 year offer beyond what the player is worth ;p Next year I doubt we see Vengeful cut a guy to reduce his salary or transition tag anyone ;p Although he should have seen this coming. I talk up Phil Loadholt a LOT in the mains. I also have roughly $27 million to fill what's basically 2 open starter holes ;p
1. BK placed an offer on Dennis Pitta without posting a dollar amount. 2. Schisno was being a douche. 3. BK placed a $5.3M offer on Pitta. 4. Schisno was still being a douche. 5. Schisno was still being a douche. 6. Schisno was still being a douche. 7. Schisno was still being a douche. 8. VanDolphan offered Phil Loadholt $16.0M. 9. Schisno was still being a douche. 10. Paul wakes up from his nap.
To be fair....Schisno was a douche long before BK ever made a bid on Pitta ;p At least my doucheness (Is that a word? lol) is well within the rules.
You have to test all limits or there is never any progress. Also everything I do is within the limits of the rule and when you leave one of the higher ups only being able to say "shut up" without any articulating reasonable discretions against a "loophole", you know he's not playing by the rules or a level playing field. We 99%ers will not stand for it.
