Least if Brian Robinson left the Vikings I think he woud fair better than Ray Edwards. Phantom punch throwing putz.

I was up to 14 draft picks ... needed to do a little house cleaning. Those deals work out to essentially Robison for Beadles with some late round picks tossed in. I get a little bit cheaper salary and I'm betting I can get the same level of production out of Griffen along the defensive line.

I've now upgraded from Brandon Fusco and Charlie Johnson to Zane Beadles and Kevin Zeitler ... and saved about 4 million in the process.

(Which I'm paying to Jason Allen)

For the Vikings it works that they can plug almost anyone opposite Allen and he should produce because of where the focus is. However Robinson was a solid player which he showed when he could before he became a starter. Griffen would probably produce more numbers than Robinson. I think it's smarter to shore up the O-line and lose a productive defensive end as you can find those guys easier, well at the same level as Brian Robinson (Go Longhorns).

Very interesting Flacco trade. I actually think it works out great for both teams.

Not sure if GIK will allow it. Technically bidding starts on the 10th. Not sure if the exclusive tag changes that.

Does it really change anything whether the trade goes through now or 72 hours from now?

Depends on the rules. Be funny if Schisno got Schisno'd and outbid in the meantime.

Exclusive tags works similar to the ERFA tenders because it makes a player "untouchable" thus allowing him to be traded right away.

Im glad that trade was made. For a moment, I thought I screwed my roster up, but after a second glance, I realized that, provided I re-sign the people who I want to re-sign in FA, grab a quality lineman or two, and go HAM in the draft (which, btw, I have a great habit of doing), I can do damage.

Personally... Baltimore, I think you could have got more if you had left him non exclusive tagged and let the system play out. But we'll never know. :shifty:

Maybe he could have Paul but he did reasonably well. I think two of those picks were his at one point at well.

certainly congrats to schisno here. but even if a team didn't bid on Flacco during the 24 hour period, putting Flacco on the block shortly there after, I just reckon he could have got more (at a reduced salary too).

The way I looked at it, I was being offered later first rounders but I'd have to give up the same amount if I wanted to bid on it.

So I just cut out any middle man and gave him picks that equaled to two first rounders, while keeping my options opened with a remaining 1st rounder and 3 2nd rounders. I've been pretty good at moving around in the draft so with my assets left I can move around more than I wanted to if I had to give up 2 1st rounders. I'll pay the extra 4-5 million to secure him now and not worry about any variables.

why do you have to be so prejudice to A - W, they're just as much variables as X and Y.

Gross. That show is awful. Don't understand why it has the following it does. I gave it two episodes and didn't laugh once. Then again I also think Two and a Half Men is horrible too.

I like the Big Bang Theory but dislike Two and a Half Men.

The best comedy is How I Met Your Mother though IMO.

How you dislike two and a half men, especially pre Ashton, is beyond me. Drunken toilet humor with Charlie Sheen as himself? Cant beat it.

The Big Bang Theory actually isn't half bad... But then again, I really don't watch TV unless its sports or news.

Well the first episode was weak but it's had it's moments since. Too many folks are still put off by the Harmon firing.

Modern Warfare directed by the Fast and Furious Justin Lin...still the best episode of comedy in the last decade imo.
