Impressed with Chase Stuart of Football Perspective, making the most of low draft position: QB Josh Freeman WR Julio Jones WR Brandon Marshall Picking LAST. Not bad.

You know, EVERYONE is gonna have great teams, so long as they allocate and prioritize well. The thing is, some GMs will impress people by taking all skill position players and winning the public-perception battle while having garbage in the trenches.
im laughing my *** off. Pick a punter for all it matters. Any draft that has JJ Watt #7 overall or Russel Wilson #10 overall, who gives a ****?
Chris Harris, the young stud CB of the Broncos still seems to be available. I'd take him possibly. Also with Hardy being 6'4 and 290 I think you could still play either the 34 or 43. HUGE fan of Hardy here... I loved him when he was at Ole Miss (minus the obvious problems, he just had so much talent not to like him though).
Hopefully the rest of the GMs aren't laughing at you taking Greg Hardy. Especially since I recommended him to you! LOL. I take it Alen doesn't approve.
And here I usually defend British humor. Clearly too much time talking to yanks across the pond, it's made your jokes stale!
Oh it seemed like immediately after you were saying Simon should've gone with Casey Hayward. Didn't mean to imply you hate Hardy.
Hakeem Nicks being gone sucks. Hardy and Dunlap rushing the passer with Revis on the back end would make the foundation of a great defense. But with Sam Bradford as your QB you've got to start giving him the type of receiving targets he's never seen before in St. Louis, if you want to convince people that taking him was worth it.
Agree. Wayne, Bowe, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, Britt, Hilton, Welker, Blackmon, Torrey Smith who is a nice option, Crab, Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Cruz, Colston, Maclin and Desean Jackson all still there.
And IMO, you'd better get two of them...because like I said there are doubters about his ability and if you want to make them think it might work it has to be glaring that you're giving him the kinds of players he's never had.
Chris Long would make an excellent 27 year old bookend to 24 year old Greg Hardy. Both are extremely productive from a pass rush standpoint. And consistent.
A pair of wide receivers it might be real beneficial to target would be Jordy Nelson and Victor Cruz. You have Cruz in the slot and Nelson on the outside but also having shown the ability to play in the slot. Both are young and both are very bright, level-headed players, non-headaches...would seem like a good pairing. You can always grab yourself some lower-price speedster to run deep routes on the other side of Nelson a little later in the Draft. Chris Givens, for example. Malcolm Floyd, Leonard Hankerson and Jacoby Ford also very underrated in this regard.
Torrey Smith would be lovely. Great deep threat, I'd grab him and then possession receiver like a Crabtree. Don't sleep on Cecil Shorts. Dude would make an excellent number 3 (or 2 worse comes to worse).
Unfortunately you've still got about 30 picks to go. Would you run up to the podium with Hayward's name if he were there?
I must say I'm impressed with you drafting Sam Bradford in the 1st round. I know you are aware that we have a GM league here on the message board. I think you've said in the past that it was lame... but I digress... I have the Rams this year. I've been trying to trade Bradford (his cap # is approx $14m) since I acquired Kirk Cousins. Not one fart of interest from any of the other 31 GM's. So I think what I'll do is create a link to this thread as you are essentially endorsing Bradford as a franchise qb. Create some buzz. Use you for my personal gain. As to this 22 pick franchise mode draft. It's a good idea... sounds like a lot of fun. We should try something like that here. As to what you should do next? That's above my pay grade.
No problem with a GM league. It was more people boasting about being a GM for a specific team not called Miami.
Surprised Sean Lee went that high. Thought Bruce Carter stepped in a played quite well before injury. Still crushin' on Zach Brown at Will..... but not this early of course.
