hmm...any ideas as to what it could be? I'm guessing Serra vs Hughes, but that doesn't sound too "MAJOR" to me.
so what is the deal with the UF competition and Dana stating "he is out of the UFC and out of the championship match"....did CB or Amir do something, did JT? From the tease it looked like windows to the Limo were busted out...but cant really tell. Was this a competing leagues Limo??? I would think CB beats Amir to get to meet Jessie in the final, but this was a wierd and strange tease...does it involve the coaches??? Rampage or Forrest in any way? Any one with inside info or best guesses?
Rampage losing the BB contest, and saying well "I still get to kick his *** come july" was funny...and Dana adding basically "you suck at everything else, you better keep your title".
my guess is guys arent supposed to leave the house other than sanctioned reasons....maybe someone left the house and rented a limo or something, who knows....its gotta be harsh because they destroyed that house and nothing happened
i highly doubt its amir or cb, those guys are too smart for that behavior. maybe jesse threw a tantrum(he is a total bone-head), but im more likely to think that its a different cast member. remember, they often have cast members fight at the finale too, so maybe its that scumbag kid who looks like tony romo, or that dopey young kid or someone else like that. hard to say. the window was busted from the inside, and i'd bet the bank its purely UFC related.
he does at that! Jessie is a solid bet to be the knucklehead...just didnt understand the 2nd LIMO in the shot and why in a parking garage (thats what it looked like to me) would you bust out the windows from the inside? Looking forward to the story line, and true, others are on the card, but I took it from Dana's words he was discussing Championship Fight and not undercard event guy. Who knows. Anyone rooting for Amir over CB? I really like Amir's personality and dry wit! Not sure if he can hang with CB if CB is on his ground game.
Its a stupid tradition, and Dana should deduct from the payout purse any future damages...its getting worse and worse each season...by season 10 it will be a house fire with drunk knuckleheads chanting "Burning down the House"....it needs to be nipped in the bud real quick.
http://sports.ign.com/articles/880/880621p1.html here is the article speculating on the announcement.
it has been moved to June 17th: http://mmamania.com/2008/06/11/report-ufc-major-announcement-set-for-june-19/
IMO, this is bigger than a single person joining the ranks, or a specific fight promotion.... I would see the WWE and UFC joining ranks as a possibility, but that degrades the WWE and only legitimizes the "wrestlers" if and only if they step into the UFC sanctioned fight vs. a wrestling match, etc. Interesting...very interesting.
But does his joining UFC really mean that much to equal: "will change the industry for the next five years".???
Yeah, mayweather will never join the ufc...i just cant see it. he's not gonna go from 25 mil. a fight to the UFC pay-scale. even if he took 10% of gross sales(which they'd never give him), thats still only 5-10 million for a good UFC ppv. why not just box again, thats what he does best. plus mayweather really doesnt stand much of a chance in this sport. no one who isn't multi-dimensional makes it very far anymore.
Another EliteXC this Saturday? http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=13211 hopefully they try to class it up this time, and Vinny Boom-Batz keeps his fat sleazy *** out of the ring. This KJ Noons, they want him to be good almost as bad as they want Kimbo to be good, but he's just so damn average.
oh god, another wrastling moment moment at the end of this turd event. ooooooooooooh an in ring scuffle! you can actually hear the pain in Quadros' voice to comment on such crap. what a joke.
Anderson Silva moving up to 205! http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=6514&zoneid=2
Interestingly enough his former training partner Big Noguiera said about four weeks ago that Spider WILL be the 205 champion by next year. I see Irvin as pretty much a can talent wise but we will see how Spider can handle a guy that cuts to make 205.
Also I'm hearing the reason that the Axe murderer turned down the bout against Irvin is that he wants to avenge his loss aginst Henderson, possibly scheduled for the August event. That'll be a good one, if true.
WOW Thats pretty big news. Anderson is by far my fav fighter and hes gonna see some crazy matchups at 205. Silva definitely has the frame to put on good weight. He looks real lean at middleweight. He def has the room to put on some solid muscle on the move up, but he just has to make sure he doesnt lose his flexibility or speed. I duno how well he would fair against guys like Rampage or Liddel though. Those guys hit like a ton of bricks. Franklin swings for the fences too and spider demolished him twice so who knows though. BTW, I guess this means that his fight against Yushin Okami is scrapped huh? No big loss there. Irvin should be an interesting opponent.
Here's your big announcement Section................. Lorenzo Fertitta has resigned his position as president of Station Casinos to take on a more active role in the UFC. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=6523&zoneid=2
Well I guess in theory that would change the "landscape" of mainstream MMA. looking at the list of countries that they are trying to expand in to. Not exactly the earth mover White proclaimed.
who's excited for tonight?!! with the limo, kick incident... i predict its niether cb, jesse, or amir...but another fighter who was slated to fight on the finale(like the tony romo look-a-like, or the young kid who always smiles). if its one of the finalists, it has to be jesse, cause he is a text book meat head. and the cb-amir fight should be great. im excited!
