so I didn't misread that Pierce cut. Props to Bucket on the wat r u doin. I don't like Werner standing up. Oh, yeah, I'm likely moving to a 3-4, haven't decided yet.
Starting to look like most folks have made the trades they are going to. I know myself I only have maybe CB Corey Webster that I 'might' move...but even then it would only be for cap considerations.
Anyone interested in Champ Bailey, Chris Kuper, Darnell Dockett, Nick Barnett, Richard Marshall, or Troy Polomalu?
Yeah, looks like everyone is mostly done. Only guy left Id consider training is Morgan Burnett, if I can find a quality SLB.
I still have a few guy that I am looking to trade. Young guys on cheap contracts. Mays, Sanu, Dunlap, Still.
I did. Ill take the 11M on for the 10th best ranked CB last year. Plus Im running a 3-3-5 scheme so I now have my starting CB's set which is critical scheme wise. Champ would have been bid up to 11M in FA easy with this group. If Doug freakin Free goes for like 13M (two years ago) and I had to spend like 9.5M just to get Grubbs last year, Bailey would have seen 11+ in FA this year. Can do a lot worse then spend 11M on a HOF cb still playing great ball..
I think Free went for like over $20m that one year, thanks to thatswhatshesaid. I just think Bailey has lost a step or three.
1 bad game vs a red hot qb and 2 good wr's (only Boldin and Smith caught passes vs him) and youre ready to mail it in on him? No chance chief
Statistically, Baily was top 10 last year by PFF, so this statement is correct. Obviously that pass rush has helped though, but still a quality corner at this point in his career.
I have Irvin, Cole and Clemons. Say it with me, he still has a pass rush. Im not as crazy as I may seem...ok I am but thats what makes it fun.
Sherman Revis Peterson Jennings Browner Heyward Cary Williams Tillman Tramon Williams Finnegan Kareem Jackson Jenkins Gilmore Cromartie Flowers Then maybe Bailey @ that contract.
Yes he got paid when he was the best. He still solid but at his salary I'd rather have those guys I mentioned above.
