jw, don't you think blaming Jeff Ireland for all mistakes while Parcells was here is a bit much?..trust me, Im no Ireland apologist, all I'm doing, and have been doing is trying to find a reasonable starting point from where to evaluate him..I don't want to get into all the same ole stuff, but what I do think is quite illogical is thinking Ireland had final say on all matters when that dirtbag was here.
Nah pod, that's not fair man, Parcells took him under his wing and gave him his first job, anyone would of followed..but I've never been convinced that it was anymore than an apprenticeship while he was here.
Not at all, he claims all sorts of success in Dallas, specifically the 05 draft. I'd like to add Knox, just as a token of what he has in mind, but knowing his tin ear, we won't. I think one of his major flaws is he lacks the capacity to understand how fans perceive his actions and player moves. He's a bit like the kid in class who most dislike yet has no idea that they don't like him.
Nah, I like him more than most dolfans do, but think he stands and delivers this year or he probably should move on. As an example, in 09 "we got Hartline!" he told fans, by 12, Hartline had scored what..6 Td's in his career here? Does he have any what that looks like to fans of the team?
To answer the original question, I think San Francisco or Seattle are in a better position than us. Just sayin.
The combo of veterans as well as new blood is needed for moving forward in a upward swing. Remember when Jimmy Johnson had his great draft to rebuild his cowboys? having the chance with a great draft, as well as cap space, as well as a new coaching staff to help our GM make the correct moves...I am all over that
if Bess and Hartline start as our #1 and #2 wrs next year I will come down hard on the dolphin fan base . Miami has been doing nothing to get to being a playoff team since that piss poor excuse of a gm was hired. just because we have salary cap space doesnt mean we will be successful and until we make a splash I wont layoff of jackass Ireland .
Eh, really depends on the whole enchilada Mr C, what if they add say Allen and Austin as well for example? Now if this is barely addressed then we probably should grumble
Haha if Bess and Hartline are our starters I will certainly say f--- Miami and just bet and play Fantasy.
Out of concern. Now I have to worry about if Bess and Hartline are the starters next season, our good friend Aquafin is gonna "come down hard on the fan base", which includes you and I.
I agree with you. Its called Business. Its his job, end of. How long have we been deprived of playoffs let alone Superbowl contender? Im totally fed up ( was going to say something else) of our lack of even challenging. When the likes of the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons who were synonomous with losing steps up im getting annoyed with our lack of contention.
Well, anyone think we may be overlooking Armon Binns in 2013? He came in and started very quickly, THill trusted him and he produced reasonably well Any thoughts on him Deej or anyone?
I like him in the slot. That's Bess territory usually but Binns has the size to threaten the seam in a way that DB doesn't.
I sort of thought that as well, he has nice size but I seem to recall a drop deep down the sidelines though? He was only here what..4 games? and played in the last 3 iirc?
I think if the offseason goes as it should, I don't see room for the kid..Hart..Bess..Jennings..talented rookie..Matthews.. His game is possession and he's got some size, little bit of strength in his lower body,we really didn't have any large possession receivers last year,so that's why he stuck, Gafney and Naanee both sucked, kid got a shot off waivers, Showed a little bit in the middle of the field on a few passes, but like I said, if this offseason goes as it should, I don't see a place for him unless we're keeping 6, and if that's the case, he and Jeff fuller will battle for it, I still think Fuller has some potential.
