Not having a real QB would be the real reason. And a 1991 vanilla Wanny defense. I am putting a pretty good defense down right now. Kinda reminds me of our 1999-2001 defense. Except a downgrade at MLB...but upgraded outside backers.
I wouldn't do the deal either, but it didn't seem especially egregious. Pass rushers are hard to find.
Exactly. And every person here wanted ay least a first when I inquired about guys with as little as 5 sacks rushing over the LT.
I don't get the obsession on Werner, he's hot and cold. When he thinks he can make the play he'll give you a 110%, but when he can't he'll drop down to about 30%. He missed quite a few easy tackles because of lack of hustle as well. Don't let that #14 sack value fool you.
I'm keeping a spreadsheet of every single team's moves... their cuts, trades, draft pick salaries.... and it's now fully up to date. Because Mach is doing good chunk of the work, it just means I got my eye on all of you. And I will post a "available cap space" thread before unrestricted free agency so people (like Paul) can rat you out if you go over the allotted cap space without cutting a player first. I hope schisno hired a new "accountant" if he intends to run up Flacco or Moore's price tag.
My cap is reflected with draft picks already signed. If I would have known GiK you were doing that I would have left my team page the way it was.
You should still update your team page. I didn't go through everyone's team pages; I went through the original rosters and tracked everyone's roster moves.
I'd like to take this moment to point out my trading record so far this year... I've traded away, CB Cortland Finnegan, DT Kendall Lanford, RB Daryl Richardson (two starters and a backup), plus 2nd, 5th and 6th round picks FOR... RB Trent Richardson, S TJ Ward, DT Corey Too Liuget, QB Kirk Cousins, All Star G Marshal Yanda, LB Nigel Bradham (5 starters, plus Cousins a promising young qb) plus 7th round pick. All the while netting about $4m in cap savings via the trades. This gratuitous announcement was brought to you by Glass Plus glass cleaner. If you can't keep your mirror clean, then you can't judge yourself.
all rules are off when we are here in the GML... I have a different personality for each and every sub forum here... thank god that's easy to keep track of.
Well, what's more impressive is that I've made 18 trades and only gained 2.2M in cap. And I've won,. in my mind, a good 80% of them.
Thought he was still banned from the GML forums? If he isn't, I'm surprised he hasn't once posted a thread in here.

Saint Greg doesn't trade much but he's generally active in free agency and he doesn't miss a pick in the draft... can't complain baout him too much.
Should be interesting. Silver I made a similar mistake. Always shop a player before you cut him. After a few days if no one inquires then cut. It doesn't hurt you as you have Ray Rice.
zero... ironic... because you have zero chances of winning considering those trades... hiooooooooooooooooo
I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't throw money at QBs I just draft them in the second round. If you would have just let me keep all the players I drafted over the years we'd be solid right now... defensively anyways. Joe Flacco backed up by Jake Locker protected by a line of Branden Albert, Ben Jones and Marcus Cannon. Running my 3-4 defense with Patrick Willis, Chad Greenway, Brandon Spikes, Dont'a Hightower, Chandler Jones, Harrison Smith, Antonio Cromartie, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
